Guests of Casa Patron have access to the Los Suenos resort amenities, from the marina and beach club to restaurants, bars and tee times on the golf course (at extra cost). Of course, you can always choose to remain in the privacy of the villa, sipping a cold drink on one of the lounge chairs on the terrace, admiring the views of the lush gardens and golf course, splashing in the freeform swimming pool, trying out local produce on the barbecue and watching the sun set from the al-fresco dining area. For indoor entertaining, there’s a wet bar and games room with a pool table and dart board, as well as a sound system and Wi-Fi. The villa’s flowing, open floor plan and large windows give it a bright, airy feel, while beamed ceilings, wrought-iron chandeliers, polished tile floors and soft cream tones have traditional refinement. Everyone can gather on the living room’s large black leather sectional or the taupe sofa in a second sitting room, and a glass-topped dining table turns dinner into a special occasion. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and is open to the living area, so cooks can socialize as they slice or saute. There are two primary bedrooms in this classic Costa Rica rental home, each with a king bed, en-suite bathroom and jetted tub. One opens directly to the pool, while the other opens to a romantic balcony. There are two bedrooms with two double beds each and en-suite bathrooms, and the other two bedrooms have two double beds and two twin beds, respectively, and share access to a bathroom. As in the rest of the house, tile floors, soft neutral tones and dark wood furnishings are elegant and traditional, while bedding and drapes with paisley or palm prints add a little tropical flair. Though it’s easy to spend your stay relaxing if you need some time to decompress, there are also plenty of things to do nearby if you’re the kind of traveler who needs to fill a vacation with fun activities. Thanks to the villa’s location on the grounds of Los Suenos, it’s just a 3-minute walk to La Iguana Golf Course and a 10-minute walk to Playa Herradura. If you’d like to see more of Costa Rica’s beaches, make the short drive to Playa Jaco or Playa Blanco; if you’d like to take a day trip, head to the city of San Jose, 59 miles away.
