The Cottage

The Cottage, with a studio style layout, is a bright and clean space just one mile from historic downtown lees summit with local shops, bars and restaurants. The cottage is ~20 min from downtown Kansas City and 15 min from Kaufman and Arrowhead Stadium. This newly renovated 1900s milk barn is unique and special with a lot of charm, with a few of the modern conveniences. Guests are welcome to take advantage of the two acre landscaped yard and enjoy a delicious s’more at the outdoor fire pit!

Truman Loft

Truly one of a kind Historic property converted into a spacious, cozy loft in the heart of South KC. This 100-year-old space(5 min from HS Truman farm. He spoke on this stage on his first political campaign) has been completely rennovated with concrete countertops, beautifully vaulted ceilings, huge bathroom, built in workspace and even a fun kid's room. Let the natural light pour through the massive windows or close the curtains and dim the lights:) We hope you enjoy it as much as us!

This listing is for a basement apartment only in a single family residence home. (Upper level of home may have other guests.) This space is in lower level of home, completely separate from the upper level of home with it’s own private, secure entrance. Studio Guest House

Enjoy Southern OP in this quiet neighborhood. Our studio guesthouse has a full kitchen, TV, a new a/c/heater, and google fiber internet. In case you get lonely, we have 2 friendly dogs always looking for attention. We are about 45 minutes away from the Kansas City airport, Kauffman Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, the KU main campus, and the Harry S Truman sports complex. We are 10-15 minutes from the Scheels soccer complex. Overland Park has plenty of Kansas barbecue and shopping.

You will love your stay here in this peaceful, spacious, completely stand alone, lower-level, walkout apartment. Large patio windows west allow views into beautifully treed field. Apartment with fully furnished kitchen including coffee maker, (w/ tea, coffee), fridge/freezer, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, and double hot plates. Please note that this is a lower level apartment. You will probably hear some normal noise from the people living upstairs.

Sep. fenced off backyard area with Private entry into your basement area that is located around the back of the main house. Parking space on property. Dog park, walking trails. Restaurants close by. Close to highwy, gas stations and shopping. We also have Solar panels that provide some back up for the heat/air and refrig if electricity goes out!!!

Come enjoy your stay at our home with a private entrance and outdoor patio in the back of the house in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. You will have an entire guest suite to yourself including one bedroom with an attached bathroom as well as a pull out couch for additional sleeping arrangements. Prepare meals and cocktails at the wet bar before settling down in front of the fireplace and watching your favorite movie on the smart TV w/ access to free wifi.

Plus an added bonus a fully stocked coffee bar. Also added is a EV 240 volt receptacle for charging EV over night.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy your own private cottage with all your essentials; You also have access to the property's hot tub and 1 acre pond stocked with catfish, blue gill, and bass! The cottage has a 1 queen size bed and a mattress in the loft . Please note: we do live on this property and the cottage is next to our main house. We have friendly outdoor cats they do freely roam the property.
