You won't find a more peaceful and heartwarming place to stay in Norway. Gitte is a very welcoming, warm host, who made sure we had it cozy at all times. She lit the fireplace, let us borrow wool-sweaters, made us breakfast. We hope that every guest appreciates her as much as the beautiful home. The sunset from the terrace is stunning, colorful. We even saw small wales. Can recommend hiking the dronningruta (long, beautiful) Already looking forward to returning. Rieke+Ines

We loved everything about our stay! The surroundings are just breathtaking and the hike to Horseid stranda a perfect activity for spending a day. We had such a good time with Rachel and Ben, they are amazing hosts and made us feel like we were staying at a good friend’s place. Breakfast was the best! Only thing you need to know is that the ferry to Kirkefjord leaves only a few times a day (which in many ways is something good since it makes the place totally peaceful) and that the parking at Reine harbor is really expensive. We have nothing to complain about at all (we also did prolong our stay). Would love to come back and will welcome Rachel and Ben as guest in our own home at any time!

We had a great time, warm next to a stove with an amazing view! Our hosts did everything to make sure we didn't miss anything, right up to the homemade breakfast that was waiting in the fridge. Freddie welcomed us by telling us the story of this exceptional place and as a bonus we observed a magnificent northern lights as soon as we arrived. Absolutely nothing to complain about, it was a unique experience.

It was my second time at Borghild's accommodation and as always it was a pleasure to stay there. It's just lovely to sit in front of the stove in the evening and look outside. During the day you have a wonderful view. Borghild is a wonderful hostess and also conjures up a great breakfast in the adjoining room. One of the most beautiful places in Norway (if you ask me ;-)). I can only recommend buying juice and jam. Very tasty.

We immediately felt very comfortable with Anette. Check-in was absolutely easy, everything needed and described was there. The pictures no longer fit, instead of the two small armchairs in the large room there is now a round table with 4 chairs, which is also much better 👍 The washing machine was also great, which we were also able to use right away. In the evening we could also see northern lights in front of the house. Breakfast is absolutely amazing and very rich (vegans/vegetarians should mention this in advance) All in all absolutely recommended and we will hopefully stay there again!

One of my favorite stays !! Annelise was such a kind and attentive host along with her husband. Although I didn’t have a car to easily explore the further surroundings they lent me one of their bikes for me to use (which I did every day) and went to numerous beaches , and hikes near by with the help of her recommendations on the local area. Annalise’s place really felt as if I was going to my grandmas for holiday providing anything you might need in the morning for breakfast and also toiletries. I’m sad I couldn’t stay longer and really wish to come back again .. next time with a car so I can explore more of the other islands :)

Hi Lone, we want to thank you for our lovely stay in the blue room. It was even better than the picture ! We enjoyed every minute of our stay, your hospitality, the good food (best meals of our trip !) and las but not least the magnific terrace and view which we longed for since we had booked our stay. This is a very special place, in a really extraordinary region. The house is very comfortable and has a great deal of character, and lovely art. The town nearby has whatever you need. I was glad I had a car, to be able to explore the larger area. I stayed for six week and hated to leave. Lovely hosts too.
