Number 4 is a 2 bedroom end of terrace cottage nestled on the shores of Loch Shiel in the beautiful historic village of Glenfinnan, 17 miles west of Fort William along the scenic Road to the Isles. The view from front is spectacular and the rear window view is not bad either! Glenfinnan is the place to be for Harry Potter fans as the Glenfinnan Viaduct (The Harry Potter Bridge) and the Jacobite Steam Train (Hogwarts Express) are both located here. Delightful two bedroom ground floor flat overlooking bustling Mallaig harbour. Free parking on site. Centrally located, 10 minute walk from train & about 15 mins from ferry on flat ground. Numerous ferries to the Isle of Skye, the Small Isles & Inverie as well as whale & dolphin watching boat trips. Ten minute drive to glorious white sands of Morar, Camusdarach & Traigh beaches. Easy access for exploring hills and countryside. Plenty of pubs & restaurants within walking distance of the flat.

A Beautiful Gypsy Caravan in Arisaig

We open May to September. 'Flora' is a beautiful gypsy caravan (with a great comfy double bed) and is set in the lovely garden of the Old Manse in the lovely village of Arisaig. Surrounded by bamboo and trees and facing west for stunning sunsets. Outside enjoy a hot shower in the gas-fired shower hut, a composting toilet hut and the 'exclusive' use of a fantastic 12 seater BBQ hut. Guests can also enjoy sitting by the pond. Guests are within walking distance of Arisaig village and seafront.

Fantastic stay at Roland & Bettina’s annexe at Sandaig bay in Knoydart, such a tranquil environment to relax and unwind. My adult son & I made good use of the trails they’ve developed locally, up to Roinn na Beinne inland, and to Doune and Inverie along the coast. The sea water is crystal clear, and thanks to the great weather this May we were even able to enjoy swimming in the bay. We’d hiked from Kinloch Hourn overnight car park to Inverie, for a meal and pint in the pub - worth booking ahead due to day visitors on the ferry from Mallaig - before being collected by Roland. Our four nights at Sandaig then passed by all too quickly, with many thanks to Roland & Bettina for their hospitality, before heading back with fond memories of such a special place

What a wonderful place! Such a beautiful and relaxing setting - with the bedroom and living room having picture windows over lochs, mountains and islands. The Bothan was perfectly laid out, with nothing missing and spotlessly clean. Log burning fire for a chilly evening with logs provided, and outdoor lounge chairs for when the sun sneaked out! We were even greeted with a basket of local treats. We would have loved to stay a month to soak in the peace! Thank you for having us, we hope to come again.

Had a wonderful week at Heron's Rest, I cant' recommend it enough. The pod is perfect, exactly as described and pictured. So cosy and comfortable, especially when the wind was blowing outside! The views are outstanding and the beach really is seconds away. There were gorgeous local coast walks and both Malaig and Arisaig so easy to get to. I had a great day with Arisaig Sea Kayak Centre exploring the Arisaig skerries and I did see the herons, stags and the visiting woodpecker too from the pod. Colin and Elaine have created a lovely space there and couldn't have been more helpful. A place to cherish and return to.

We had the most enjoyable four day stay at Alison’s loft; warm, comfortable, well equipped and in the most peaceful surroundings in a stunning landscape. Waking up to the cuckoo calling every morning was an added bonus. The welcome basket of milk, bread and local beer was well received! A definite 5-star stay.
