lovely place to stay. we were working in the area and it was good value compared to other places. tarbert is a beautiful village, only a 5/10 minute drive from the house. lots of space, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and a good outdoor space to spend time in. Caitlin was very flexible about letting us check in early which was great.

Just returned from a great family holiday at Avondhu. Everyone loved it, from the youngest to the eldest. The house was perfect for us, especially as my husband is disabled. The ground floor room was excellent with a wet room bathroom opposite. The beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the artwork and ornaments around the house. The host Humza was great at responding quickly to any questions I had. Thank you Humza for letting us enjoy your lovely house.

Tighnabruaich is beautiful, the view from the sitting room and kitchen is beyond compare. The property is bright, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The village is the friendliest place we’ve ever stayed, handy shop and lovely tea rooms within walking distance. Ferries across to Tarbert and Bute are both an easy drive. Portavadie has very good value restaurant, lovely food - particularly well priced kids menu. We enjoyed fabulous weather for April and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, thank you Kim.

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

Enjoyed our family getaway. A beautiful house that was stylishly furnished - very spacious and always warm. Clean modern bathrooms and amenities. Hot tub was of a high standard and nice and clean. A good base location to drive out from. Loch Etive was also within walking distance for a stroll with the dog. Handy grocery store 5 minutes walk away but unfortunately not a lot else open in Taynuilt (pub, tearoom, gift shop, butchers all closed - obviously this isn’t John’s fault though!). We got takeaway burgers and fish and chips from the Kilchruacan Inn which went down very well!

It really is hard to say enough great things about this house! The location looking over Loch Awe is a feast for the eyes ! The bedrooms all have their own unique vibe with super comfy beds ! The boat shed on the shore is easily accessible if water leisure activities like kayaking interest you. The dock & fire pit with seating will suit you if you love the outdoors & want to be close to the water. If warmer water is your thing hop in the hot tub & let it soothe away any cares you may have. Then you can cook up amazing meals in a professional kitchen that lacks very little for your cooking imagination! And the Games Room holds so many leisure activities & is a lovely private setting on its own. So take your friends on a once in a lifetime trip to this beautiful house on the shore of Loch Awe and prepared to be awed!!! Scott has a gem you don’t want to miss in the Western Highlands of Scotland ❤️😢

Great location and lovely pristine room with great large fluffy towels, a fab shower and an easy stroll into the town. Good parking but get there early to get a space, if not there is plenty of on street parking (at cost). On a Saturday night there may be noise from the nearby function rooms but this is to be expected in a town location. Tv didn’t have a remote or instructions but we worked it out in the end manually. Would definitely stay in Raniven again!

Wonderful sea views and a very short few minutes walk from the hunters quay ferry which runs every 20 minutes from gourack. The views sat in the wonderful front living room are amazing. The hosts Sam and szandra wonderful young friendly couple who are extremely friendly and helpful thank you for a wonderful stay in outstanding company and surroundings

Raniven is an excellent place to stay in Oban. Liam, our host, was clear with instructions and responsive to questions. The location is an easy walk to the town. Our room was very clean and comfortable with everything you might need provided. Check in and out is very simple and flexible.

Lovely, very clean, modern, spacious. A well thought out design for a bit of luxury at the end of your day of exploring. Amazing views. Highlights nearby: beautiful woodland 1km North of Strachur and the view from the TV mast, ‘The Smiddy’ and the friendly people who told us about great walks, a boat trip on the loch and amazing food at ’Inver’. Bring kitchen consumables. You will need a car to get to delis/supermarkets, but there are a couple of small shops in Strachur.

We booked this place for a family get together and we could not have had a better time. The house is beyond expectations and was very spacious for our large family. The facilities and rooms were well equipped and very clean. Lots of amenities were available. Susan and her mother came to visit us and they were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we asked them. The location, views, rooms and the host are all 5 stars. I definitely will be coming here again and would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

We have a great time staying in the lovely house. Everything is well equipped and the host Kerry and the family are friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.

This was perfect for what we needed, and was just as described. The hosts were very quick in their response when we needed something in the house that we couldn't find. The house was warm and cosy, plenty of crockery, and bits and pieces like tea and coffee, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and so on. A great stay. Thanks!

We had the most amazing girls weekend away in Lisa’s property. The photos did not do justiceo to how beautiful and amazing everything was. We loved every second of our time and all the amenities available from the fire outside, outdoor bbq and hot tub and the pool and games inside. The place was spotless on arrival and the procession and chocolates were a lovely added touch to top it off. Thank you so much
