The Sage Hut is a traditional well-insulated structure set on a sturdy all-metal chassis and wheels. Double glazed windows are new this year making it even more warm and cosy. It enjoys lovely views to the south with its own peaceful small yard/garden and private car parking space. It enjoys mains electricity, hot and cold water; the shower/loo is approx 25m away . There is a guest fridge and microwave in the stable block. The woodburning stove is highly efficient. Continental breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in the local area. Beautiful, peaceful, unique little chicken house dome, clearly built with love by Doug. Spotlessly clean, beautiful views and everything you could need is provided for a weekend in the Welsh countryside. Host was super friendly and responsive, and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely touches leaving us fresh milk, Welsh cakes etc! Would definitely stay again if we were in Brecon - thanks so much Doug and Judy 😊

The Old Toolshed

Exceptionally rural location, you're so far from any main roads and can't hear any cars at all. Great views out to the Black Mountains and the valley leading to Fan y Bîg. Very well located for walks where you'll see few or no people. The Cicerone Brecon Beacons guide has some good ideas in the area. Wood burning stove is great, really chucks out heat. Pictures don't do justice to the living room space which is of a good size. I used the sofa bed and slept fine on that. Not negatives but you must be prepped for 1) long winding drive down a narrow road (so you must be decent at reversing and prepared to drive dead slow and carefully!) and 2) the steps to the bedroom are really very steep, and a fall would be very unpleasant. We managed it fine though! One of the few places I'd seriously consider booking again. Thomas and Hannah were lovely and they were very generous with firewood, too!

This was already our second time at Cantref House which is really one of the best places we have ever stayed in. And without any doubt the most well equipped one. It was a pleasure to meet Sheila and Peter again, to enjoy their great hospitality, the spacious flat and the lovely views on the mountains and their beautiful garden. We would love to come back in the future.

The Dairy - Brecon Beacons

Our 4 night stay at the Dairy was exceptional from start to finish. The cottage is immaculate and extremely well furnished. Our 15 month old Vizsla had a great time with access to a private fenced in garden and a separate fenced in dog walking field. The attention to detail throughout was incredible and the location was perfect. We were able to walk up to the Brecon Beacons straight from the cottage and also had easy access to Brecon on foot via the canal. We will certainly be booking again!

Absolutely amazing stay! The place was even better than the pictures showed. Beautifully done up with contemporary features. The space was perfect for us, wish we could’ve been there longer to enjoy it! All facilities you could need were included. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden. Jo was a great host and very responsive. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Perfect isolated location for family get togethers or a group or friends. Plenty of bathrooms and bed space. We felt welcomed here and there’s an amazing lake less than 5 minutes walk from the property itself!

I can't even put in to words how perfect the location is, the view and the place itself! it was absolutely gorgeous down to all the little details. the outdoor cinema was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the alpacas and sheep. it's nestled away, far away from everything else and with a beautiful view. it's just what we needed!
