We LOVED our stay! Beautiful cottage full of character. The cottage was warm, comfortable beds and very tastefully renovated. We used the cottage as our base for walks in the moors, seeing many ‘tors’ the waterfalls at east dart near Postbridge and the hayter vale route- all fantastic. Nice pub food at the Tavistock inn. And all dog friendly! Thank you Tristan for clear coms and letting us enjoy your place!

Clean house with great smelling linen. Peaceful place with beautiful view. No fuss or complication. The host left us a delicious home-made cake to welcome us. Didn't want for anything. Loved it. Would go back in a shot.

This ranks as a favorite. The hosts were great people and so willing to help. We enjoyed the history they shared regarding their home. The area is peaceful and conducive to reading, walking, and exploring. The cottage is cozy and charming. We came at night and there was a log fire awaiting us in the stove! We would highly recommend this lovely destination.

Beautiful location, perfect for walks (you can walk straight up on to Hamel Down, one of our favourite Dartmoor walks) from the doorstep. Lovely view. And for convenience - pub, great cafe etc - Widecombe is a short walk or very short drive. And friendly, welcoming hosts. It’s a country cottage, small and homely - so not for those who want a flawless LA style pad! - and all the better for that.
