Alnside Lodge - Lesbury Alnmouth (Hot tub)

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sue and her husband Steve greeted us on arrival and gave us a heads up of all the gadgets and rooms around the house which was much appreciated to get us settled in. My family enjoyed the use of the lodge facilities especially the hot tub. We had a fantastic relaxing time and the location is spot especially for country walks. The local pub Coach Inn is only 100m away and served lovely ales and pub food, staff were really friendly. It was a fantastic way to celebrate my 70th birthday in a very well presented lodge.
A stone lion statue is positioned atop a wall, overlooking the expansive green landscape. In the background, Alnwick Castle stands prominently, flanked by trees under a clear blue sky, creating a scenic historical setting.

Wagtail Cottage

This is our second stay in this cottage. Ledbury is a beautiful, tranquil village with pub, village shop and church. Boulmer beach is a very short drive away, Alnwick beautiful and we took a day trip to Bamburgh, which is also lovely. The cottage is spacious yet cosy, well equipped and a welcome wood burner, which is perfect in the colder evenings. I’m sure we’ll visit again!

Great location. A really cosy country retreat. Very well appointed kitchen...equipped for real cooking! Very responsive hosts before & during our stay. Lots of helpful pre-visit information supplied, especially good places to eat like the Fish Shack at Amble & The Angler's Arms in Weldon - both dog and dog owner friendly!

Pele View Cottage by the sea, Cresswell

ClareRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful property in a stunning seafront location. The cottage had all the amenities we needed with a wonderful view of the sea. Nigel and Jane were very welcoming and recommended a bistro in Amble, Jaspers which was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.
The exterior of the contemporary apartment is showcased, featuring a well-maintained lawn and colorful flower beds. Large glass windows provide an unobstructed view of the sea, while the structure displays a harmonious blend of modern and traditional architectural elements.

Cosy log fire and beach walks at The Old Smithy

ElaineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
First class in every way and we wish we could have stayed longer! The lovely beach was a short walk away and the location was excellent for visits North (Howick Hall, The Potted Lobster at Bamburgh), South (The Boat House restaurant at Amble) and West (Cragside and Alnwick). Great to be back in Northumberland and we would stay at The Old Smithy again in a heartbeat.

Birdie Cottage - near Alnmouth, Northumberland

TobyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at the house. Anne is an amazing host and a fantastic communicator. The house is pristine, clean, beautifully decorated and was a fantastic base for our walking holiday on the Northumbrian Coastal Way. The kitchen has every utensil you could possibly need and a beautiful Smeg range cooker . The garden is full of lovely plants and has very high-quality patio furniture, which means we enjoyed alfresco dining due to the great weather On arrival, we found a very generous welcome basket and also a dry fruit food cupboard that was well stocked and which we were allowed to make use of. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb‘s. I’ve ever stayed in and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the house to others. The village is peaceful and quiet and has a nice local pub where we enjoyed pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord real ale in excellent condition. The food there looked good although we didn’t try it as we had stocked up at the amazing Bamburgh Butchers.
