🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I could give it 100 stars, I would! This was hands down my best stay ever. The cottage is magical—quiet, spotless, and so cozy I instantly felt at home. The view? Absolutely breathtaking. You can see the lake from every room—even from bed! I slept like a queen in nature’s embrace. The area is perfect for peaceful walks and soul resets. Now, Megan—she’s the kind of host you wish every Airbnb had. So responsive, so proactive, I suspect she has superpowers. Every little request was handled faster than I could hit send. She made sure everything was perfect before I even had to ask. I felt so at home, I almost started forwarding my mail there. Confession: I debated not writing this review because I don’t want it to get booked solid… but they deserve all the love. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, treat it like the rare gem it is—and please, leave a few weekends open for me. 💛 P.S. I brought home memories, peace of mind, and about 237 lake view pics. Highly recommended.

Michal is an excellent host who responds quickly and is very accommodating. Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our time there. With pool table, foosball, hot tub, sauna and large yard, there was lots to do for everyone, young and old.

The host responds very promptly. However, disposing of trash is a bit inconvenient as it takes about 15 minutes round trip, and you need to pay $3 per trash bag. It’s recommended to dispose of the trash before checking out, not after. If you have a friend waiting in the parking lot while you take out the trash, they might rush you. Communication with the host was smooth and responses were quick. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the winter as the heating isn’t great. It would be nice if each bed came with a comfortable duvet rather than just blankets. When the outdoor temperature is 7°C, the bedrooms can feel cold, but everything else was good.

We came to ski for 3 days at Calabogie during March break. The location and view were ideal--a minute to the ski hill (that you can see through the trees out the main window) and parking was free and easy at the hill. This allowed us to come back to have lunch at the chalet and then return to the slopes in the afternoon. The chalet has several high end features--heated floors in kitchen and bathroom, and an induction stove and fancy microwave. it was nicer than we expected. We struggled a bit to figure out how everything worked (probably us, though--we have low tech stuff at home). The designer fridge and countertops and overall aesthetics of the kitchen are beautiful. The chairs were maybe a bit big and awkward to move around for the tight space they were in--was hard to get around them. That was a minor inconvenience, though--overall the space was a delight to be in.

Charming, well constructed and insulated, spotless with a European vibe. Pictures don't do this justice! Super functional cottage, easy to access and amazing northern lights. Very responsive and helpful host. Would 100% come back.

Our family had a wonderful stay. The stunning views are even better than the pictures. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor activities, with canoeing and local attractions being the highlights for us. Hosts Cindy and Mike were extremely helpful, offering excellent recommendations and exceeding our expectations. The place had a welcoming vibe. Highly recommended—a hidden gem.

The Beach House: Waterfront cottage

We had another great stay at the Beach house. We were 7 adults and 2 kids and never felt like we were on top of each other. Having 3 full bathrooms is so nice to have. it is very easy to run into Pembroke if we needed anything. The water was great and so shallow, the kids could safely be there for hours. If you are a swimmer, this might prove tricky, but it is fantastic for families with young kids. There were kayaks and live jackets available so you could easily go out and explore. The kitchen is huge and well equipped and the table was big enough for all of us to have supper together. The grownups enjoyed the pool table and it was well used. We had a lovely evening campfire on the beach with a beautiful sunset. All in all, a great trip. One of our party is older with a bit of mobility issues and getting down to the beach area was a bit tricky due to the high steps , but this did not affect our enjoyment of this place. Highly recommended.

Setting was tranquil & beautiful, overlooked the river with private pontoon to sit on/launch kayaks from (rented from the host). Paddling the river was great fun. Fire pit was lovely in the evenings. You can buy logs from the host. Cabin is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Andrew and his family were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Killaloe was a 7 min drive away with a Freshmart, and a great wholefood shop (Grandmas Pantry). Would recommend for anyone looking for a getaway/peace and quiet. Thanks Andrew and family!

Me and my team stayed there for a week. It was a lovely place. It was a peaceful area and had a beautiful beach nearby. Donald and Donnie were responsive and proactive, always asked us to tell them if we need anything or have any questions. Very friendly couple. The house was neat and tidy. Cozy place. It had all the utilities included which is always a bonus. We had a marvelous time staying there. Overall, great place

This cottage was very private and had the BEST view. We had loons to wake up to almost every morning. The beach is literally steps from the back deck. The neighborhood is very quiet and is on a great road for walking or biking with little kids. The fire pit is a great set up close to the water. There are quite a few options for seating areas and the swinging seat is the best napping spot! Great swimming though I would recommend water shoes as there are quite a few mussels and snail shells. Wish we were there now! Would love to go back again! Jenna is extremely responsive and a great host!

From check-in to check-out, this was a wonderful experience. The property is exactly as described as well as the area. The next door neighbours are great ‘hosts’ and generous people (there were 4 of us and they offered their canoe). The main cottage is spacious and nicely decorated. The bedrooms while on the small side (4 men over 6ft), are very comfortable. The bathroom is small (again, 4 large men and it’s a cottage after all), but was clean and stocked. The entire cottage is fully stocked, very clean, and had everything you will need. Especially the kitchen. (Bring your own Nespresso pods if you use those as the closest replenishment point for them is the Metro at Barry’s Bay). Karen has left nothing unanswered. She is very detailed and very responsive. The boathouse/games room is a great place to hang out or take an afternoon nap. The waterfront is beautiful as are the views. And the lake is very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect "home away from home" for the holidays! We stayed at Brad's for a few days over Christmas to be closer to family. The check-in/out process was simple. The communication and response time with Brad was great. This modern and very clean cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen was impressive and well stocked with appliances/dishes. It was perfect for cooking Christmas dinner! We were most appreciative that our furr babies were welcome too. If you are looking for a tranquil, cozy spot with beautiful surroundings then this place ticks off the boxes.
