Where do I even start! We rented Natalie's place to attend a dear friend's funeral. Natalie was so compassionate and kind with our circumstance. The house was the PERFECT accommodation for our group needs. Natalie was extremely responsive and so dearly compassionate. Her home has an amazing tribute for its existence. You can see her passion in every detail throughout the home. She is such a great host in so many ways. Without meeting her in person, she has a lasting impact on me. The home: I couldn't say enough about this place. The pictures on the listing are great and they do convey the home properly, but experiencing it first hand was completely mind-blowing. Upon entry, I was so amazed by the interior of this home. Everything is beautifully decorated and the history is well preserved. As the other guests arrived throughout the day, everyone was so excited about the home and had the most amazing things to say. None of us wanted to leave. Natalie, just thank you so very much.

The layout of the home and amount of space was great for our group to come together for some activities but also have our own space when needed. The extra large living room couch was SUPER COMFY and great for a family to curl up together and watch a movie. In the kitchen - all the "Oh no, I forgot ____!" items were available in the cabinets, along with a selection of pots & pans of every size you could possibly need. A great place for a larger family/group, but do be prepared for some 'natural' odors from the (cow) neighbors across the street.

The Cool Caboose!

Positive- The caboose was so cool. There is so much attention to detail on the design. Our kids absolutely loved the place (especially the hammock, and ladder to the top bunks). Con- My husband was disappointed as there were cob webs everywhere, which he was cleaning before bed since they were overhead on the main bed.

Janet and Doug were the best hosts as they are very involved with the community and know all the ins and outs of the La Junta area. They both were extremely accommodating. The home was very quiet, clean and very comfortable. we are definitely looking forward to staying there again! Thank you Janet and Doug for your most amazing hospitality!

One of the nicest properties I’ve stayed at. Everything was clean. Mattresses were comfortable. Host was very responsive and offered early check-in. Check in & check out was easy. Property was easy to find - just off the main street. Everything was amazing and would 100% stay again!

Our second stay, our second 5-star review! This place is really magic. If you like peace and quiet, I just can't imagine hitting the mark better than this place. And yet there is so much to do! We saw elk, deer and coyote while we were there and the stars at night are just incredible. I cooked every day just because of the joy of it--there is absolutely every cooking tool/utensil you could imagine and every spice known to mankind (at least to me!) so bring out your groceries and experiment a little. We were mostly outside all day (except for aforementioned culinary adventures) so we didn't need the internet much, but after dark each evening we easily watched a movie on Netflix via the internet...with built in intermissions to go out and look at the dazzling starscape. You will never forget your trip out to Rock Canyon Ranch - our host Todd is incredibly responsive and personable. Couldn't recommend higher.

This place was perfect for my family of 6 for the Christmas holiday. 2 beds were very comfortable, 2 single boys slept on the couch. Although it does not have a full kitchen, Mario accomodated to adding a crockpot, a bigger refrigerator (however, needed shelves but very thankful), a few other items for cooking meals for 3 days, and a dinning room table and chairs. Boys had a great time with the pingpong table and dart board. Lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful lakeside view and watch the sunset over the lake and mountains. The only down side was it could of used a good cleaning before hand, cobwebs and swept. The outside could use some clean up as well, porch and weeds. Overall experience was wonderful compared to being in a hotel for the Holidays! THANK YOU MARIO!! Will definetly stay again!

I enjoy staying here, this was my 2nd time and everything was great. I really like the desk area where I can get my stuff set up and get my computer work done.

A bathroom area features a tub with a showerhead above and modern grey tiled walls. A small window allows natural light, while toiletries are arranged on the edge of the tub. A toilet is visible in a separate corner, with a towel holder beside it.

We planned to stay 2 weeks. The unit was well stocked with all of the essentials and provided plenty of space for a family of 6. We have a family urgency and the host understood our change in the dates. Highly recommend this place and we will go back soon.

Another nice, although brief stay for us! I enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the peacefulness of her place. Place was clean, and recent renovations looked great!

Very comfortable place and easy check in process. We booked a room at the last minute while traveling from Denver to Amarillo. Jarred’s place is so cool! It’s an old 1920’s era building with a lot of original details. It was cool to see the Art Deco period finishes in the public spaces. The room was clean, bed comfy and it was quiet. There was coffee from a local roaster and it was delicious! Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!
