We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in what seems to be a small valley. We used our time to walk into several directions including the rock pools and the bokmakierie trail. You have to walk this one as it takes you very high above the surroundings and gives you beautiful view all around. We regularly went to do our own game drives on the designated roads as we didn't had a 4x4 but still with a vehicle with high clearance. We saw a lot of Springbok, Gemsbok, Eland and Bontebok. We also did a bit of bird watching at the main dam early in the morning. The rest of the time just lounging around of course. The host was very responsive of our needs and questions. We would definitely be visiting Drie Kuilen again.

We had an amazing stay at Lucille’s place. It was a very spacious and clean house and garden in a beautiful and quiet surrounding. We stayed there for a wedding and the house provided everything we needed. She even left us a welcome basket with foods en drinks. The communication was great.

What a wonderful weekend. It was a hot weekend in Robertson but the Halfway House always felt cool inside. We really enjoyed staying there, everything was perfect. My husband could enjoy playing golf and I enjoyed my time relaxing next to the pool. Will definitely go back again!

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

What can we say? This place is AMAZING! We can't say enough good things about it. From the super friendly hosts who have catered to our every need in the house to the gorgeous house and those views - well you could look at the views forever. There is absolutely nothing we would change about our fabulous stay in this amazing house. The house is like something out of a Nancy Myers film beautifully decorated in Hansie's designs with four wonderful bedrooms. The wifi is great, the place feels very secure, there is a wonderful walk around the lagoon. There is no aircon but as you can leave the windows open, you don't need it. We sat outside every day to eat but the kitchen is so well equipped you could eat in every day. We visited the winery which was good and had lunch as well as wine tasting there. The boys (both 14) also used the communal pool as well as the house pool and the tennis courts. Anyone will be very lucky to stay here and Hansie and Harry are wonderful hosts.

Susanne’s place exceeded our expectations. Spectacular house, spectacular views and we had a wonderful time.

Everything about this trip was amazing. The house is spacious, beautiful and modern. Great for multiple families. The valley is breathtakingly beautiful with a little stream for the kids to play in. Jannie was an incredible host from booking to checkout. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Perfect location, close to town but still far away so that you could relax. Farm is beautiful, with an amazing spot to have sundowners while surrounded by the majestic Franschoek mountains. Manager was responsive, super helpful and flexible.

This place is such a lovely place, tastefully decorated! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you find if not more in that lovely home. Our family had a fantastic stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The host Leanne was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless from start to finish. The place itself is stunning — thoughtfully decorated with luxurious touches that made it feel like a boutique hotel. I really appreciated the attention to detail: from the Nespresso pods and biscuits to all the little extras that made sure we had everything we needed as soon as we arrived. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a warm, welcoming space. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Spacious, tranquil and well equipped haven in the beautiful Swellendam. Very comfy sleep! In winter this place will be wonderful with its wood burning fireplace. Private and lovely! Great hosts - Lariez and Jenkins!

The absolute magnitude of though effort and care that goes into this unit is unlike anything i have EVER seen. Been at many very expensive units and hotels that dont cater or care 10% as much. Kudos to Nina and Monica who went out of their way with everything! Super chuffed. Will be back no doubt.

We had a really great stay, it is a beautiful location with easy access to Montague and Barrydale. Danielle gave us some really great suggestions for things to do in the area. The farm has some nice walks, and the roads are well kept, very accessible for cars, no 4x4 needed. The farm has some very friendly dogs as well. They were kind enough to provide us with wood and a well equipped kitchenette. I highly recommend it.

A nice little cottage located on a private estate/road. The cottage is a 10 minute drive/Uber away from the Tram Station or the main street in town. It’s adequate and peaceful for a good night’s sleep. One usually spends the day drinking wine on different estates. The host is responsive and provides helpful instructions and information. The only negative about the location - wifi and network in general was not so great. However, we highly recommend the place.

Had such a lovely stay. The accommodation was amazing, loved the interior. The location was very easy to find thanks to the directions provided and it was beautifully situated.

We had an incredible stay! The views are breathtaking. The kids loved hiking the mountain to the lookout, relaxing in the hot pool, paddling in the lake and being in nature. The cottage is well setup and very comfortable. We cannot wait to stay in the future! Thank you ☺️

Very peaceful and quiet spot yet easily walkable into Franschhoek centre with lots of lovely restaurants and shops and of course the wine tram! We loved the stunning view of the mountains and the outdoor area with hot tub as well as bath/shower was pretty cool! Nicola was a great host, very responsive and clear instructions - the cottage itself is comfy and very private and we loved the natural surroundings. Great for exploring the wonders of Franschhoek!

We had such an amazing surprise when we arrived at Berry Guest Farm - Raspberry cottage. We had booked as a last minute break and due to the responsive host had just gone straight ahead without getting too much info. What a treat when we arrived with our 4 children. The farm is a child’s paradise with activities - from amazing zip lines, canoes that are free to use at any time, fishing, waterslides, warm pool, night time child friendly hikes with UV torches… the list goes on, but the plus is that the scenery and nature of the place makes it paradise for adults too. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, and a short distance from nature reserves with hikes, waterfalls, mountain trails and wildlife, well we were just spoilt for choice! We had no idea that the small airbnb we had booked offered all this and we will be sure to return with friends to book a few of the cottages and maybe even camp on the campsite. Note: the campsite was very close to the house but noise wasn’t an issue

A unique and fascinating experience. The huge remote property has history, bushman petroglyphs, game and lovely vista's. Owner Stevie was great company for his tour of the property and our first chance to really talk with a well-connected SA person. There are apparently several houses for booking on the property, depending how deep into the valley you want to go. Our cabana was much more stylish and new than pictures indicate. A couple notes: the cabin includes hot tub AND a plunge pool. No AC so you may find really hot days intolerable. Finally, the last hour of road there is rough (corrugated) gravel. To really explore the inner valley you need an off-road capable vehicle.

We had a really wonderful stay at the cottage. The view from the balcony is so amazing 😍 And the cottage itself is full of art and character. Really feels like a proper home which my husband and I prefer over the more soulless Airbnb's we stayed at in the past.

A Truly Magical Escape – Frog Mountain Stole Our Hearts Wow, some places truly touch your soul, and Frog Mountain is one of them. You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful
