If you have any inclination for a retreat in the woods and a cozy, clean, minimalist space — this is the spot for you! Both the indoor and outdoor showers are luxurious. The bed was the best sleep we've had in ages. Even the yard furniture is comfortable. Not to mention the lovely hot tub! The surrounding nature is incredible. It's so quiet and beautiful, and the delight of the space can't be understated. The hosts were incredibly responsive — at one point, we couldn't figure out the outdoor lights, and they remotely helped us find and flip the appropriate breaker. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Getaway at a Beautiful Water View Cottage! Our group of girlfriends recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely Airbnb cottage in Norland, and I can't recommend it enough! The location was great, with great views of the water that made every moment feel special. The cottage itself was very nice, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the hosts were attentive. We were disappointed that we couldn't fully enjoy the wonderful deck due to the weather. However, the hot tub was a fantastic highlight of our stay, and we made the most of it! Overall, our stay was great, and look forward to returning. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful scenery, this is the place to be!

This zen little cabin was the most perfect location for our annual girls weekend. My university friends and I get together every May long weekend and this was our 20th year carrying on the tradition. This place was private, had absolutely gorgeous architecture, was incredibly styled, clean, and had every amenity you need to entertain. Cassidy went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, and was proactive and quick to respond. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us - It was relaxing and the perfect spot for new memories to be had. ❤️

Perfect place for a getaway!

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. Loved being steps away from the lake, hot tub, and sauna. Only an 8 minute drive to Lakefield, and about 20 minutes to the Curve Lake First Nations reserve. Hosts recommended a nice farm-to-table spot that we really enjoyed (The Cheeky Duck). The Nook was just what we needed and I happily recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and kick back for a little while!

We loved our stay at RuthAnn and Norman's cabin! It was exactly what we needed to relax and get away from the craziness of Toronto. Everything was clean and well-organized. Norman is a fantastic host – so helpful and friendly, giving us a great tour and awesome local tips.

Kiki & Stephen were great hosts! I booked this place for myself and three of my friends as a getaway cottage for the long weekend, to explore a small town and stay in and relax. It did not disappoint. We were welcomed with warm hospitality, and a clean and comfortable place to stay. The hosts were super responsive, and helpful. I would definitely book again, and would recommend to someone looking for a place that is private and peaceful.

I had the most incredible weekend at Elliott Tree Farm! The property is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, welcoming, and the perfect, private escape into nature. I stayed with my dogs (all 13 of them), and we all had the best time exploring and relaxing. Derek went above and beyond and was an amazing host — incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire stay. You can really tell he puts his heart into making sure guests have a great experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you so much, Derek — can’t wait to come back and explore even more of what Elliott Tree Farm has to offer!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed! Rushad was such a lovely host. He gave us lots of local recommendations (which were fabulous) and was very helpful and attentive along the way. Rushad was very communicative and always ready to help when needed. The space was very clean and laid out beautifully, with thoughtful choices and high end finishes. This made us feel right at home. We hope to be back in the near future!

An amazing escape from noisy city life. just a what the Dr. ordered.

Leah was an excellent host! The A-frame cabin was exactly as described and pictured. When we encountered an unexpected cold snap during our stay with our cats, Leah was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to help us out. Her quick communication and willingness to accommodate made all the difference. The cabin itself is charming and we'd definitely consider staying again. Highly recommend Leah as a host - she truly cares about her guests' comfort and experience.

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

We stayed for 4 nights at this cottage in late September, just as the autumn leaves were setting in. It was rainy at night but we enjoyed cozy nights watching The Hobbit or playing board games by the roaring fireplace. During the days, we did multiple hikes around Hardy Lake, went to Bala (a very quaint town-we made jokes about being in a cheesy Hallmark movie), toured the cranberry bogs and trails with hot wine drinks and just enjoyed time at the cottage. There is something for everyone whether you’re a cook, book-lover or outdoors enthusiast. We brought our two dogs who loved hiking the trails, watching chipmunks, swimming near the shore , and lounging on the dock. They even got into the canoe. There was a friendly senior dog who wandered down to say hi a couple times. The highlight of it all- we got engaged there! :) :) :) Sarah and Chris, you must be so proud of this enchanting cottage where so many special life moments were created.

Our stay at Otter Lake was relaxing and enjoyable. Photos don't do this cottage justice, it was extremely spacious for us (4 adults and 1 pet). We spent most of our time swimming in the lake, bbqing, sitting on the dock or around the fire pit. The lake is soooo peaceful and when we arrived we were greeted by a loon 🥹. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, thank you for your hospitality, Taylor!

Fabulous cottage! Amazing view of the lake from both inside and out on the dock. We enjoyed cooking on the bbq grill in the evenings. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. Matthew was super responsive to any questions I had. Also close to Algonquin so was nice to spend a day there. Can’t wait to stay here again. Thank you for being wonderful hosts :)

The cottage was lovely and relaxing - even better than in the pictures! The host was responsive, detail-oriented, and added extra treats. One of my best cottage rental experiences ever!

Kerri’s place is not one to miss. As soon as you step out of your car you will be surrounded by nature and the tranquil sounds of the creek. There’s lots of hiking trails near by plus a ton of cidery/wineries/brew houses. If you get good or bad weather there’s something to do! Place was stocked with everything you could need and all the instructions for the jet tub and sauna. Kerri was an amazing host who made the time we spent at her place easy and fun with recommendations and small personalizations. A beautifully maintained and run place to get away for the weekend. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! It’s such a charming, historical and peaceful cabin in a fantastic area. Everything about the cabin is wonderful and Samantha and Jim are lovely. We’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s. Unfortunately we had a family funeral unexpectedly and could not arrive on Friday as planned. We arrived the Saturday evening instead but Jennifer offered a late check out for us since we had lost some time. Accommodation is pleasant and clean. Bed was comfortable and you can tell that Jennifer and her husband take great pride in the property Beautiful surroundings and a great view of the lake. Orr lake is very shallow and has a beach area it would be great if travelling with kids. We were disappointed that the water was too shallow for fishing from the dock but it was a chilly weekend so we spent time in nearby Midland. St Marie Among the Hurons was a great way to spend a cold afternoon. Found a great English pub in Victoria Harbour.

3rd year to this wonderful cottage for our mother, sister getaway..Kelly is amazing. cottage is so peaceful. screen in porch is a place we spent alot of our time watching the water and wildlife. 100% recommended

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Matthew’s property—it was the perfect escape from the city. From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately relaxed and at peace in the beautiful, serene surroundings. The home itself was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, with stunning furnishings that made the entire space feel both luxurious and incredibly comfortable. It honestly reminded me of an elegant adult treehouse—elevated, tranquil, and full of charm. We spent our days enjoying each other’s company, unwinding, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.
