Vacation rentals with a patio in Lake Palestine

Comfortable space and well decorated. Clean and looks exactly like photos. Beds were very comfortable. Stairs are a bit steep, but manageable. overall a great place

I’m so glad we went. It was one of our best weekend trips. Needed some peace and quiet. The property was well maintained and they really made us feel at home. Constantly making sure we had all we needed. We got to see their homestead and the beautiful craftsmanship and love that Doug had put into their home. It’s a place that you can go and spend some quality time with God and be near His beautiful country. We really feel like we made some great friends and will definitely return again. We originally went there to go to canton first Monday. Honestly we were only at Canton for around maybe 1 1/2hrs and spent the remainder at Connie and Doug’s place. It was so much fun staying in the studio apartment above the barn, just like in heartland! Thanks again for great conversations and friendship! Go check it out you won’t be disappointed!!

Although it was smaller than places we normally rent, it was sufficient for our needs. Close to work, convenient to many restaurants and stores. William responded quickly to messages and accommodated with any concern we had.

I booked another place with Elias but when I told him what was going on her moved my girls to another place closer to the hospital where I was having surgery. He didn't upcharge me and kept the reservation just as it was.

It was perfect for our quick weekend to Tyler for a baseball tournament. The pool was very convenient on our off time when it was hot. Very quiet complex and it was very nice being able to bring our dog with us.

Everything was exactly like the pictures and was cozy! Brandon was very quick at responding! Will definitely stay here again!

I really liked staying at the house for a month. It’s in middle of the woods, more private, there’s patio that you can sit and put up guard to let your dogs hang out in the patio. The shower is wonderful, one of the best shower ever. It’s really small, but it’s doable for one person with a dog or two. It’s a good place to get away. I can live in anywhere and I would stay here again.

Exactly as described. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of parking and seamless check in. Close proximity to the horse park and great restaurants. We sadly had to cut our trip short, and Tandrea was very kind and easy to reach.

Cindi was a wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay to the max. John also deserves 5 stars as he was just as great! There is so much space for our family. Big beautiful home. Enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day weekend just hanging out and fishing at Palestine Lake. I loved it was secluded and the views were astonishing. Fantastic stay at Sunset Shores with my family! We grew up on Lake Athens and knew the area well. This is such a beautiful lot and the home (and dock!!) have been spectacularly renovated. Plus, the hosts clearly use the space because it has everything you could possibly need. I always favor lived in AirBnBs for exactly that reason. We will be back. Thank you, Shane!

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful getaway that was still close enough to make it to our kids’ ball games in Athens, and this place was exactly what we needed. From fishing on the property to exploring the beautiful grounds, we felt like we were worlds away from the chaos of Houston. The home was spotless, cozy, and perfectly tucked away to enjoy nature, yet just 15 minutes from great restaurants and anything we needed. Nathan was incredibly responsive, even with our late check-in. We’ll absolutely be back—and if you’re looking for a quiet escape that still keeps you connected, this is the spot. Can’t recommend it enough.

This home was a cozy, peaceful escape from the city. It was just as described and had everything we needed for a few days of R&R. The pond and trees made the location feel very secluded and like we had it all to ourselves. Justin was responsive and provided clear instructions for check in and for finding the house (which is a bit hidden). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
