Cottage in a good location a little further away from the hustle and bustle of Himos. Whirlpool is a great addition.

Great cottage at a great price. Arrival and everything else worked really easy, all the necessary information was provided in advance and without asking. A lot was a nice addition to the extra price. The only complaint was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Otherwise, however, the cottage was clean and well-cleaned.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the cabin for 3 nights! The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the cabin was well equipped with all the amenities. We particularly loved the sauna which is wood fired with a window looking out on the scenery. The interior is a little more rustic than the pictures but absolutely fine and met the description, we were more than happy. The lake is not 6 min walk away but right by the cabin, so you can easily dip after a sauna (15-20 degrees in Summer). Cabin is well equipped for heating and cooling. The grill is great and you don't need to bring anything other than food. There is no real walking trails from the cabin but the row boat was a fun alternative! We visited in June and had no real problems with mosquitos, some around but they didn't harass us on the decking, worth having repellent, especially if you go on the nearby short hiking trail. Irma and the host nearby in the neighboring cabin were very helpful and friendly!

Celebrated Midsummer with a dog and a 1-year-old child. The small sandy area was nice for the child and the place is at the end of the road so the dog could be free. Everything needed was found inside and outside and we managed without problems. You get used to the sound of Jyväskyläntie mentioned in the description and when grilling, smoking, etc., you no longer notice them. A short distance to Sysmä/Hartola/Heinola where there are shops and services and water fountains for drinking water replenishment. No complaints from our family!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Petri’s place. This was our first time in Finland and after exploring Helsinki we were excited to see what the lakes district had to offer and Petri’s place had it all. A hot tub (though we didn’t end up using because it takes several hours to heat up and we didn’t stay long enough), sauna (which we loved using), a large living area, comfortable bed and facilities, and the lake which we jumped into after the sauna. We cooked twice and found the cooking facilities good. The house was also very cutely designed with love hearts featured in clever ways. It felt very homely and romantic - like it had been built or designed with lots of love. The house itself is very private and there are no neighbours you can see across the lake or to the side. But it still felt safe and the internet connection was decent. Our only regret was not staying here for longer.

Clean, cozy, peaceful and modern cottage experience. A friendly host who gave clear instructions for the accommodation. Quickly responded to messages. Things to do for the whole family. I recommend to everyone!

Nice and personal cottage in the peace of nature. Lovely sauna and a tub with terraces. The owners had heated the pool on the day of arrival. Neighbors nearby, but it didn't bother me in any way. A nice welcome surprise for the whole family. I'm sure we'll stay again when we come to Orimattila 😊

Great hosts and a great place to stay. The location is beautiful. Located directly at the national park, you can go hiking right at your doorstep. The jetty to the lake is great for swimming. On the covered terrace you sit very comfortably. Asmo and Hannele were great hosts who were always available. We felt very at home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Taisto's cottage. It is really good located- peaceful and quiet, natural location. In reality the cottage looks even more beautiful than in the photos. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. We would really love to come back someday.

The cottage is beautifully quiet with private access to a small lake. The garden invites you to relax with its many different seating areas and loungers, the jetty is ideal for morning yoga. It is important to know that there is no real shower. But you can wash wonderfully with water heated by the stove in the sauna. The really well-equipped kitchen is great. Pans and knives are in great condition. There are also many spices and various kitchen appliances. Jaana was very friendly and helpful in written contact. We'd love to come back to this idyll!

This was our second time at this location and already planning the third visit for later in the year. Ulla is an amazing host, very responsive and so lovely and friendly. The house is wonderful. Peaceful, quiet, the wood burning sauna is amazing and the lake was refreshing. We are definitely coming back again!

Nice place and nice atmosphere. The sauna often heated up and the water was nice and cool. The paddleboards were studded.

Seppo’s home was such a beautiful and peaceful retreat! He had everything set up for a wonderful sauna. The nature and accommodations were superb!

Timo's cabin is a relaxing and charming place. Lost in nature, you have to think about shopping before you arrive. The isolation is very nice. Timo provides a boat and inflatable paddleboards, which we really enjoyed. The sauna with a lake view is very soothing. Timo is very responsive and welcomed us himself. Thank you for everything!
