Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Mendocino

Velouria is a lovely and tranquil place to stay in the Guerneville area nestled amongst the beautiful redwoods. Everything was exactly as described and had all we needed for our three night stay. I do recommend grabbing some firewood at one of the local wood spots (descriptions provided in the check in/rental information) or Safeway just a short drive into town - Even though it was mid June and warm during the day, having a fire at night was a great way to keep the residence toasty and cozy as it can cool down at night quite a bit! The hot tub was also a wonderful addition, clean and spacious and as others have sed, nearly floating amongst the trees on the lowest deck. Shane was our main contact during the stay and communication was friendly, clear, and super chill! Thank you so much!

Beautiful little cabin. We loved being right on the water. Fished right off the dock, kayaks available to use, bbq on the deck with plenty of seating and a fire pit to sit around. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

This home is STUNNING. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, clean, comfy, and surrounded by redwood forest. Jacuzzi on the deck, outdoor shower, grill and patio funiture made for serene evenings. Would absolutely book again.

Lovely home! Just what I wanted. Quiet, private, tucked into the trees! I love well-maintained/ cared-for heirloom spaces. It’s a cabin—a nice cabin!—that feels like families and generations have shared many a joyful hour there. I adored the hand-made door handles and table! So unique! The modern comforts of a home were also much appreciated! We love to cook and being able to prepare a full meal with ease— indoors and outdoors—was so appreciated. Hot tub was clean and fun! WiFi was great and we enjoyed a little TV time, too. All good! We were able to just relax and we all really needed what this residence provided! Our host was almost instantly responsive to questions. So helpful. Thank you!

Wonderful spot! We really enjoyed our stay. Cute and comfortable cabin, loved the hot tub and balcony, close to river access. Chad was super responsive and made everything very easy.

My husband and I were looking for a place to get way and relax kid free. The stay was perfect! What a beautiful location and the pictures don't do it justice. Great view of the forest and meadow. Loved the hot tub and the sauna was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at Nathan’s cottage several times and each time is absolutely incredible! The cottage is so comfortable and beautifully decorated, the surroundings are stunning, and Nathan is so wonderful to communicate with. You just feel surrounded by the nature and beauty of the area. We spent so much time being outside on the lovely deck just soaking up the ambience of the outdoors. It’s such a treat to visit time after time.

The place was amazing!! My family and I have stayed at 2 properties by Russian River Getaways and both are simply magical! This is the perfect place to have a relaxing retreat. The patio was built right along a babbling brook which is the perfect sound track to a nature filled weekend. Opening the windows at night to hear it allowed us to have amazing sleep each night. I especially enjoyed the trail around the brook and spring. You can go further up into the mountain than you'd expect on the property. There's a hammock and lots of chairs and tables at scenic parts along the trail. There's even an outdoor cot perfectly placed for a mid day nap next to the stream. Obviously, the hot tub led to a perfect ending each evening on such an enjoyable vacation of hiking and wine tasting. If you love the outdoors, wine and a peaceful atmosphere than this is the perfect area for a getaway and you can't go wrong with this lovely rustic retreat being your homebase!

We had a very peaceful stay at Alexandra's. The cabin is bright and cheery, thoughtfully and tastefully appointed. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable, with the exception of one unseasonably hot day (in the 90s), when the fans were not enough to keep us cool. It cooled off at night though, and I imagine temperatures are cooler most of the time. Overall, a great place to stay while exploring Sonoma.

We had a wonderful stay at David's TreeHouse Cabin! The redwoods surrounding it set the perfect backdrop for a morning on the front deck or a night on the back patio stargazing. The floor-to-ceiling windows and skylight really make you feel up in the trees, and we really loved cozying up by the wood fireplace in the evenings. Bathroom is small but gets the job done. Relaxing and a perfect retreat!

Loch Lomond is a beautiful place and very unique. We have stayed here twice and we will definitely be back! We enjoyed quiet walks and relaxing at the house. There is plenty to do in nearby towns; like Middletown, Kelseyville, and Napa.

The feeling of a treehouse, with the amenities of an actual home, infused with laid back, Northern California vibes. Also an architectural marvel with construction directly over the small stream. Time spent on the deck with the trees overhead and the stream below seems to slow down. Add in a lovely collection of prints, paintings, and sculptures, and very kind hosts, and you have a wonderful AirBnb. Very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here.

Private cabin, walkable to town and beach , close to so many trails and parks! We were looking for a place where we could have privacy but close to nature, with a place to eat in, as well as nice places to eat out if we choose to. This was perfect. The cabin is surrounded by redwoods, which made it perfect temperature even on warmest days.

I went there with two of my kids when my wife and oldest was out of town. We want to go back when they’re in town. The only downside was both kids got bitten up by bugs. Next time I’ll bring more repellent

The house was perfect getaway for a relaxing spring break with my two tween kids and dog. It's definitely a place you want to cozy up in and read a book when it rains. It was decorated beautifully. The master bedroom was great, best night sleep and the little hidden loft was great for my kids. Did not miss having a TV, loved the record player and it offered us time to disconnect and play a lot of board games. However, wifi was strong when the kids did want to play/watch things on their tablets. Scenery around the house is stunning and it's close by the Sea Ranch Lodge if we wanted to go out for breakfast or dinner. Not too far from Stewarts Point General Store as well which was a cute spot. My kids loved the place so much they asked if we could move there!

We ended our honeymoon trip at Matt’s cabin, and we walked in thinking wow, this place is beautiful and our vision for our sonoma honeymoon experience. Yes, for those unfamiliar with California hills, the driving to the place was a little tricky at first but this was well communicated and nothing to note as a negative. After the first time driving to the cabin, we felt comfortable going in and out. So, if that’s a worry of yours, don’t let it be! The space is beautiful, the beds are cozy, the hot tub is fantastic and ending the night on the comfy couch with the projector screen was everything. Followed by a good nights rest (under a sky light with beautiful stars) to a morning with coffee and a record player. Matt was a great host with clear instructions, and local recommendations. He also checked in during the stay via messenger to make sure all was well. The cabin was within distance to so many restaurants, wineries, hiking trails and activities. We can’t wait to someday stay again!

This sweet home was everything I was looking for and more. The location is incredible, so close to hiking trails, the coast, cute towns, and great restaurants. Absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful the home was a long with the beautiful natural lighting and decor. We felt right at home and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend Megan's home to all!

We enjoyed this home so much! It was so relaxing and peaceful to stay here, right in the middle of the redwoods. The location is super convenient and parking is not hard as long as you are driving up with a 4WD like Jessica suggested. Jessica is a great host too - she's very responsive and provides clear instructions that make the whole process smooth and stress free.

Such a beautiful and magical location. We felt so cosy and comfortable – the bedding was lovely, and the room warmed up quickly, which made it extra snug. The shower was great – powerful and refreshing – and we were given plenty of towels too, which is always appreciated. It was such a peaceful experience waking up surrounded by trees. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made our stay even more special.

This was a nice small cabin in a quiet out of the way area for me while I was working nearby. The contact was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. It's a necessity for me to be able to cook when I travel and this cabin has a small kitchen that worked for me. It's a nice place.

The Treehouse was exactly what we needed. A peaceful retreat in a beautiful location. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hot tub was a real treat! I appreciated all of the cute labels throughout the home that helped us locate items and replace them in the correct spots. I would definitely return. Thank you!
