Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Marion

Great place to stay at very big and spacious but also comfortable. Didn’t have any problems with the neighborhood or neighbors very friendly as well.

The house was as advertised. It was right on the lake. The dock had a beautiful view of the lake. The house was well maintained and looked like the pictures. The showers were a little tight, but overall the house was great. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip down to Lake Marion.

The host was great and the place was as described. We had enough space for everyone to sleep. I wish we had more time to enjoy the water but our schedule did not allow.

the place was quiet and private. the inside was very nice. once we got there we realized the lake was a little low so we weren't able to launch from the ramp but there is a very nice public ramp just down the road with plenty of parking. overall we had a great time and enjoyed getting in the water!

This lake house view was an amazing. Loved the upstairs balcony. Gated community. Ty and Dane were extremely nice and helpful. We had an unfortunate situation happen where the water went out due to neighbors doing construction next-door. Ty immediately jumped in and took control. He sent us plenty of water and made sure the problem was resolved as soon as possible. I wish this home was a long term rental. I plan on renting here from Ty and Dane again. Highly recommended.

We had a great time. Really enjoyed property on the water with boat ramp. All upstairs which was hard for my aging father but manageable still. Clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay! The house is only a few minutes by car from a lot of shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. It's a little hard to find but also fairly private. It's on a quiet street as well. We didn't see or hear neighbors the entire 5 days we spent there. It rained the whole time we were there, so we didn't swim, but the pool looked crystal clear and clean. Wifi worked great! Parking is limited to two cars in the single lane driveway and maybe two cars on the street. Perfect for our party of 5. It's a little bit of a trek to get downtown, but worth the price we paid!

The house was spotless and very large inside. Katherine was very communicative and responded quickly when asked about basic cooking supplies. There is a busy street right next to the house and at one point strange men entered the back yard to the pool without letting us know to expect them. Lots of trees which shaded the pool but also drop a lot of leaves in the pool. My family living there did say Sumter has a high crime rate and we were near a “bad” area and we did hear gunshots on Saturday night.

Secluded, pleasant stay. Private and quiet, very communicative host who made things easy. Grateful!

Great spot, close enough to get into downtown Columbia quickly. Everything was clean and neat. It was tricky getting in at first, but one we figured out the routine, everything went smoothly. I would definitely stay again.

We were there for a girl’s get away and it was perfect. It rained the entire time we were there but it didn’t spoil our time together. There are so many spaces to be cozy and enjoy time together. Just a short drive into Camden or stay on the farm the entire time. Would definitely recommend and hope to get back again! Thanks David for a wonderful get away!

Beautiful clean home! Lauren was a great host. She responded right away when we asked how to access the very large relaxing pool that had 0 to 5 ft depths. Her home was very conveniently located close to the comm pool we could walk. There’s walking trails. Peaceful setting with the screened patio area allowed me to work outside and enjoy the view of the canal behind the house but protected by the privacy fenced in yard. I do not have any pets and although this home said it welcomed pets I was happy it did not smell like pets lived there honestly. I did not encounter any pests at all which is always a concern of mine. Very clean home. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The primary suite is separate from the other bedrooms. The 4th bdrm is set up as a den yet included a futon of someone chose to use that room as a bedroom. This home will be my “go-to” place for my future visits to the area. House was near a Publix & Harris Teeter which has a Starbucks. Thank you again Lauren😇

I had such a good time, very private getaway. Surrounded by forest 🌳, and wild life. The host was very friendly and responded very quickly. I would definitely book a trip again👌

I had an amazing visit to the Boat Shed. It was great to sit on the porch and watch the ducks, listen to the rain, and listen to all the other beautiful sounds of nature. You would think you were deep in mountain country. It rained or was cloudy most of our visit. However, that might have made the visit better unexpectedly. So relaxing. There is a train near by but to me it added to the country mountain feel. The Boat Shed is definitely bigger inside than it looks in the picture. My mom and I visited and sat on the porch for most of our visit and left so refreshed. The hosts were most amazing.

Clean , Modern all the amenities down to the yeti mugs. Loves it. Tried to extend but already booked. Will definitely return

Great place to stay with dock access. We enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful weekend. Everyone in the neighborhood was very polite and kind. My family would love to spend time here again. Kayaking from the boat ramp was a bonus.

My family and I traveled to SC from NY for a family friend's wedding and found this cottage and immediately rented it because of the pictures. When we arrived, everything was exactly as described with every amenity you could think of! After some bumps in our travel to SC, it was nice to settle into the home like it was our home away from home. The WiFi was spotty for a couple days, but Kim was very prompt in fixing the issue and we had no more issues with service after that. Our favorite feature of the cottage was the enclosed porch in the back! It was really relaxing and a nice way to wind down after the busy days we had, especially after coming back from visiting Charleston for the day. It is an hour away from the airport so just keep that in mind if you are flying! The drive goes by pretty quickly though. We would definitely rent from Kim and Lee again!

Our family loved this place! There was enough room to spread out and the kids loved our nature walk and finding everything on their scavenger hunt. There were plenty of stores and restaurants nearby yet you feel like you are in a private wooded area.

Clair was an outstanding host with a beautiful campground/farm/family! We met our friends for a camping weekend and we both agreed that this is a special place with owners that go the extra mile to make you feel right at home. From the walking trails to the friendly farm animals we had a great time. Our friends had a trailer and we got to enjoy this really nice converted camper with a full porch, firepit, lounge chairs and all the amenities of a luxury hotel! I would highly recommend a stay to relax, but there's a nice State Park and Congaree National Park nearby to explore, and fantastic dining at the nearby Clark Inn. We hope to visit again soon!
