Stylish Cabin - Nearby Springs

CloudRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive. We thought we had an issue with the hot water in the shower (user error :) on a Saturday after 6 pm and she had someone come to the house within 10 mins. She thoughtfully left the porch light on, and check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The home was immaculate—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with quality dishes, silverware, olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, and creamer—such thoughtful touches! The grounds were peaceful and tidy, and waking up to cows outside the bedroom window and horses in front was a special treat. Also, it's just a short drive to the springs. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Lake City Getaway

Kimberly was very kind and responsive. Her place worked great for my work crew for the week. Would absolutely book this place again. Make sure to check out Ichetucknee springs while in the area you won’t be disappointed! Also XAPA has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.

Tiny Home close to river and springs.

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay at Andrea’s She Shed was perfect for our trip. We planned to visit Ichetucknee Springs, which was only two miles away from her home. As someone who typically camps in a tent, this felt like a luxury for me. The AC worked great, tv and wifi worked perfectly. The home is situated in a rural, wooded area with well-maintained dirt roads. Her yard is fenced and gated, providing a sense of safety, and my vehicle was parked conveniently close for easy unloading. This home would be ideal for one person, but it can accommodate two as well. The fold-out bed/couch was very firm and comfortable, but it is low to the ground when folded out, which may pose a challenge for someone with difficulty getting up from ground level. Our host Andrea, lived next to the home but was very respectful of our privacy. I looked forward to seeing her because she is a lovely person. Whenever I needed something, it seemed to appear as if by magic. I would definitely stay here again.

The Blue House

AmandaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place was nice and the game console was an exciting addition to the stay. The kitchen had a full set of pots & pans, which was super helpful when making our meals all week. David the duck in the pond behind the house was a favorite of my nephew.

Faith and Love Farm Retreat

RuthRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay in this little RV on the farm! It was super clean upon our arrival and we were greeted by Janee who was very welcoming and kind. The hosts were very communicative and gave super clear instructions, so I was able to find my way there even in the pouring rain. We also enjoyed getting to see the farm animals every morning! Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Lake City!

“The Peaceful Palace”

NataliyaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay! Nicholas was very easy to communicate with, and very kind, and the house had everything we needed. The private driveway is beautiful, and the surroundings are very peaceful. The house is very cute - unique and full of character. I slept on the bottom bunk, which squeaked a bit whenever I turned, so it was a somewhat restless night for me, but the rest of my family really enjoyed their beds. Overall, we had a very nice stay!

Spring Hideaway Home - 8 min to Springs on 5 Acres

CamiloRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay at this Spring hideaway airbnb! Even though we didn’t need to reach out for anything during our visit, it was clear that she would’ve been quick to respond and super helpful if we had. You can tell she really cares about her guests. The Airbnb itself was clean, nice, and spacious—exactly what we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is also located close to Ginnie Springs! (as listed in the listing description) Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stress-free experience. Overall, 10/10!

Good country living scuba diving capital

TanyaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Michael and his sweet dogs were amazing hosts!! Absolutely peaceful and beautiful country home with a lovely well kept garden and large shaded front porch to enjoy your coffee on in the mornings. Michael made checking in late night a breeze and had the lights on for us when we arrived. It is like a hug from back home at “mamas” as soon as you walk in. He has provided everything you could need. There are 3 full sized bedrooms with comfy beds and a big kitchen to cook for your family. We enjoyed talking with Michael and playing with the dogs, he even gave us some local made sausages to grill with our burgers that were fantastic. We can’t wait to come back for a visit. Located near gorgeous springs as well. Book this home, you won’t want to leave. Thank you Michael, see you again soon.

Family Treehouse on The Santa Fe River

HollyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Another way of giving directions for finding the home for the first time: When you turn left as soon as you come through the gate, keep going on that road until you see a street sign that says Riverside Circle. Make a left and then it’s the first house on your right. I've stayed in a good number of Airbnb's & this one is the best one I've been to. The house is simply beautiful & the decorations are tasteful. The privacy is divine. The grounds large. Good outdoor chairs, including for a couple of kids. Shade on the dock in the afternoon. Lake can be a brown tea like color (from tannins) & murky. Stairs might make your calves scream. We lowered our bags down with a rope. Great to have outdoor sink on balcony. Great to have screened in eating spot. Beds & furniture better than average rental. Host is a super host for a reason.

Your guide to Lake City

All About Lake City

Lake City is a small town regarded as the Gateway to Florida, thanks to its northern location midway between Jacksonville and Tallahassee. Although its name might imply there’s only one lake in the community, you’ll find several bodies of water fed by clear freshwater springs here, making the town a popular spot for all sorts of water and lakeside activities. Anglers come to try their luck in the local pools and streams, which are home to white bass, sunfish, and pickerel. Kayakers launch into the wetlands near Alligator Park or picnic on the shores. The town also makes a great starting point for exploring Columbia County and Northern Florida, where you’ll discover state and local parks threaded with hiking and biking trails and abundant freshwater sources like Ichetucknee Springs, famous for its warm-water tubing.

Downtown Lake City centers on Marion Street, featuring shops, eateries, and several renovated historic buildings, including a famous hotel that has hosted numerous musicians and other celebrities. The town’s sense of community revolves around a creative atmosphere, with live music, art exhibitions, and a growing brewery scene.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Lake City

Like the rest of Florida, Lake City has a humid, subtropical climate. It can be hot in summer, with strong sunshine. Sun-worshippers may choose to visit between June and September, while spring temperatures are comfortably warm. If you plan to visit during this time of year, you may want to consider reserving your Lake City vacation rental for Memorial Weekend. Each May, the Florida Folk Festival takes place in White Springs, just over 10 miles from Lake City, and features live music, traditional craft demonstrations, and a children’s music and play area.

Visiting in mid-October will allow you to take in the Alligator Warrior Festival, a celebration of the Seminole commander, Alligator Warrior, who lived in the area, with music, living history displays and demonstrations, and food and crafts.
