Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Buchanan

My 2 teen daughters & I spent 2 months (mid Jan- mid Mar) at Paula's place. Lovely views from within most of the condo, comfy furniture & beds, large master bath, very functional kitchen w/ pretty much whatever we needed. Loads of dishes, silverware, pots & pans. Awesome Ninja blender that we used daily. Paula was very kind & responsive. Very easy to work with. Deck was nice w/ plenty of its own furniture & morning/early afternoon sun. The gym was small but mostly well outfitted. Rarely too crowed. It was a windy road to & from the condo & I kept wishing I had a sports car every time I drove it, haha. I'm not a city gal, so I intentionally chose a place out of the city that was quiet. But when we wanted to, the city was easy enough to access w/in 40 min w/o paying tolls. We saw a few concerts, visited the main Austin sites, & caught the vibes during SXSW. It was a good location to visit surrounding small towns and do some nature walking/hiking, as well. I definitely recommend it!

We took a family trip to spend the weekend and watch the eclipse. Mark’s place was pet friendly and had a hot tub that we enjoyed! We had room to play games indoors and outdoors. Mark was gracious enough to let us check out later to allow for eclipse viewing from his property. He was very responsive to any questions we had. It was a peaceful and amazing trip!

Overall great stay!!! Very worth the $$! The grounds are simply gorgeous! My favorite spot was the view from our balcony!

We love The Island! This is the third time and this condo afforded us some privacy with 2 large bedrooms. This unit also has a washer and dryer not all units have this amenity. We will be back and if this unit is available we will stay here again.

We chose the tiny house for waterfront access. It was just the two of us but could easily host a family. Kitchen is well stocked, BBQ grill available. The resort is on the water, there’s an area to swim and several boat slips that you can fish from. The resort is a clean property all the amenities are in working order. It’s older, could use some updates, but doesn’t detract from the great location or nice staff.

We enjoyed our little weekend getaway, it felt like we were on vacation just closer to home. We will definitely book again!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The kitchen was well-stocked and convenient to have. The view was absolutely stunning and made our time there even more special. The hosts were warm, responsive, and made sure we felt right at home. We truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back!

BEAUTIFUL location and home!!! Extremely picturesque, feels secluded and private, the bathroom is gorgeous, all the amenities are perfect and George and Kim were amazing hosts, went above and beyond to make sure we were extremely comfortable and had a great vacation.

Everything as described and overall very nice stay. House is comfortable and exactly as in pictures. Easy to find. All appliances were in working order and every room was clean. Air conditioning was cranked on when we arrived - cold - something I want and appreciate. The hot tub is very nice and Matthew came by to show us how it worked. It is a small hot tub but a nice touch. Matthew started a nice fire for us as well. Nice place for a family with young kids.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We most likely will be back and recommend others to stay here as well. The value was great for the place and view. There were a few minor wear and tears on items but we didn’t stay in the room long enough for it to affect our stay or opinion. I absolutely loved how spacious the balcony is, the seating areas, and the ability to see the pool and the lake at the same time. It was an amazing view. There were a few minor issues with plumbing in the garage but we weren’t near or at the room so honestly we wouldn’t have known anything about it if the host wouldn’t have communicated it. I believe this is a gem and I’ll definitely stay again.

Internet didn’t work, but we didn’t need it anyway. Gate code was an issue, didn’t always work and was very temper mental Water pressure was very low and. I got water, but host fixed it immediately. Overall great stay for our group.

Our family of 10 enjoyed this Lake House home. It is perfect for families. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a nice separation of bedrooms on the upper level for the adults allowing our teenage kids to have the lower level bedrooms, but there were also bedrooms laid out to accommodate parents and children of younger ages on the lower level. We especially enjoyed the game room with table tennis, foosball and darts. The home has a flat, grassy back yard and we were easily able to set up a volleyball net and play soccer. The friendly deer emerged in the evenings and mornings and were a delight. The owner, Matt, was a very responsive host and answered our questions promptly. We were prepared for lower lake levels given the drought at Lake Travis, so note that the hike down to the water and the dock is steep and rocky given the current conditions.

Wendy's home was absolutely beautiful. The backyard area was our favorite. We loved having coffee on the back porch in the morning. In the evenings the yard games and plunge pool ended a perfect day. The location is great. River access was challenging for some of the smaller kids but we planned accordingly and made sure we had everything we needed so we only had to come back up the stairs once a day. Overall I highly recommend.

The sunrise casita was exactly what we needed. It was easy to feel comfortable in this peaceful place. I absolutely appreciated how dog friendly it is. And a great location..far enough away to see all the stars at night but close enough to grab anything last minute, if needed. I would definitely love to visit again or even have a family event here since there are multiple lodging options. Overall it was a great getaway!

This is such a great house for our girls weekend! It had everything we needed and was close enough to downtown to still explore the city. The views are amazing and the pool made it so perfect to hang out and not feel like we had to go anywhere. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location and accommodations. It was convenient to Marble Falls, but secluded enough to feel like an escape. Common areas were not crowded, and others that we encountered were friendly and respectful. The deer are abundant and add to the the tranquility. It was nice to sit on the patio and watch the deer. The condo is well-appointed and Liza is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely return.

Our family stay was amazing. Definitely recommend; especially, if you have kids who love to swim. Short walk to the lake, two pools to play in, and plenty of space for my family of 5. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Steve’s place was absolutely fantastic for our family! We had last minute needs to vacate our home for a few days and Steve was very accommodating and responsive. The home was clean, well stocked and so well located in the Hollows. It turned into a really lovely family weekend as we were able to enjoy all of the amenities that the house and community had to offer. Definitely recommend!

The host was responsive and attentive. My family and I appreciated how clean and well equipped the host keeps his condo. The view is absolutely breathtaking! We can’t wait to stay here again.

Words cannot express how wonderful our weekend was at Three Points Ranch. Not only were we immersed in natures beauty but blessed with the most gracious hosts. Sally, Kate, and Lindsey welcomed us with open arms and hearts to make our elopement weekend everything we dreamed of. They were available to and did work with us on everything we asked from the moment of booking to the days we were there. They were there in a moments notice if we needed them and also kept their space from us so we could enjoy peaceful privacy in the beautiful space they created. They offered everything they could to us to make us feel like family staying on site. They even made sure no one drove by during our elopement ceremony! I was blown away by their willingness to work with us on every ask we gave. The thoughtful, gracious presence they were as our hosts made our weekend feel extra special. I truly felt like no other space could hold such a sacred weekend for us the way the Ranch did, thanks to them.

This is a beautiful home. It is beautifully decorated. There are many unique decorations to admire and enjoy. Sara is a wonderful host, who thought about everything that one might need for a temporary stay. Though we didnot expect it, Sara considered and provided right snacks and drinks for children and adults. Filtered water, bottle water were plenty to enjoy. This home has a clean swimming pool overlooking beautiful Lake Travis and it is very well maintained. Highly recommend this place.
