Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Lake Arenal

Everything is as described. Checking in earlier in the day may be more convenient than later in the evening as it is a small family-owned hotel. They do include a breakfast certificate for the restaurant next door, which is a nice touch. My kids were terrified of the huge bugs in the bathroom, so be aware that it's Costa Rica and you're going to be amongst wildlife.

Wow! Große Empfehlung aus vollstem Herzen. Die Unterkunft bzw. Das ganze Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Bett ist groß und bequem mit Ausblick auf den See. Das Bad ist geräumig und sauber, die Handtücher wurden auch gewechselt und unsere Wäsche wurde auch gewaschen. Das Frühstück, welches man hinzubuchen kann, ist unglaublich lecker und mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Kein 0815 Brot-Käse-Wurst Frühstück, sondern Gourmetklasse. Wahnsinn! Carlos und Werner sind sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Sie gaben uns extra Tipps und Hinweise für Sehenswürdigkeiten, Routen und Restaurants. Außerdem bekamen wir Ponchos für den Regenwald und Handtücher für den Strand. Wir würden hier immer wieder und gerne übernachten.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei macha und ihrer Familie. Sie waren alle überaus herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr hübsch und sehr sauber und ordentlich. Nach einem parkbesuch kann man wunderbar abends noch in der Hängematte vorm Haus chillen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb, aber dafür ruhig gelegen und nach einem kleinen Spaziergang ist die Stadt auch gut zu erreichen. Wir haben sehr leckeres Frühstück bekommen mit Gallo Pinto, Obst und Toast. Diese Unterkunft können er absolut empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

One of the best places we stayed! Was way better than expected. The room is excellent quality and very clean, all well maintained. The restaurant has delicious food and the surroundings are just amazing. They prepared a baby bed for our 2 year old. Highly recommend.

Magical place in the middle of the jungle. So much attention to detail. The flowers on the grounds are wonderful, saw some toucans flying around. You are immersed in the jungle. Much quieter than La Fortunate. The hosts are easy to access as they live on the property. They are very helpful with recommendations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat,

Marlenny and Freddie are great hosts. My daughters and I had a great time. Some might find the rooms a little small, but we weren't in Santa Elena/MonteVerde to hang out in a room (and they were priced appropriately). Marlenny communicated really well and helped book out activities in the cloud forest and their family coffee farm (if you like coffee you really should do their tour). Staff was friendly and breakfasts excellent.

Nous avons été très bien reçu par Diego et son équipe qui ont tout fait pour faciliter notre séjour et s’assurer de bâtir un programme d’activités qui répond à nos attentes et notre budget. Chaque fois que nous avions besoin d’un transport ils s’occupaient de tout et nous n’avions qu’à nous présenter à la porte à l’heure convenue. Plusieurs choix pour le petit déjeuner et c’est très bon. L’endroit est propre et bien tenu. La grande galerie est très confortable et accueillante, nous avons bien apprécié s’y installer pour lire quelques pages après une journée active, profiter de la brise et de la vue. Malheureusement, nous avons rencontré quelques difficultés lors du transport de Monteverde vers Tamarindo. Lorsque j’ai interpellé Diego pour qu’il m’aide à trouver une solution il a tout de suite pris ça en main et réglé la situation directement avec la compagnie de transport, de façon très efficace et satisfaisante. Pour l’endroit et pour le service, je recommande!

Amazing spot to stay in la fortuna! Right in the downtown center so very close to all restaurants and bars. The free included breakfast was delicious, and made the stay so much more worthwhile!! Also the included hot springs were such a treat, this is definitely the best bang for your buck. Would stay again any time I visit! Thank you so much for the stay :)

This was our favorite location out of the 8 places we stayed. It’s exactly what I want in an AirBnb. It’s not the Hilton, it’s a magical get away where you can live amongst the locals and have your very own private blue river pool. Absolutely recommend for anyone. Beautiful animals, bugs, flowers, and birds everywhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in casa bamboo. What we loved: - Elkin! He is a wonderful onsite host and incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. Anything we needed, he was there right away, sharing information and tips via google translate. He thoroughly enhanced our stay — even alerting us when the monkeys were close so we could go see them. - Location: Close to Playa Hermosa and Santa Teresa but at a much more family friendly and local beach with good snorkeling, swimming, surfing, sunsets and birding. - Open concept of the house and pool. Rooms were cool and dark for sleeping and the kitchen/family/outdoor entertaining area was a great mix of social and private for our two families. - Next door to the grocery store and the lovely Passion Bakery. We had one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica at De Raiz and Atardecer Dorado which are a short walk down the road. - Walking distance to the beach but quiet and not on a busy road like four wheeling craziness of Santa Teresa.

This was a perfect place for our group of 12 to stay one night so we could zipline in Monteverde. The rooms were clean and comfortable our Hostess was very kind and helpful. She helped us book our zipline and answered many questions for us. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again.

Anytime we visit, we aim to stay here. Been around a long time and for good reason. Great establishment and we will book again.

This location worked out perfect for my one week vacation with my 19 yo nephew. Most of the tours were able to pick us up at the hotel, a couple had to meet five minutes from our hotel (walking). Breakfast was great and staff was always friendly and accommodating. As the description says, the location is 10 to 15 minute walk from downtown and probably about the same for the more modern restaurants or bars. But within five minute walk, you can find food or the local market. Every night we were able to come back to a nice clean room and a quiet hotel with lush grounds.

This place is great overall. They offer an included breakfast where you can order from a menu and customize as needed. The room, though small, was clean, with a well-functioning AC. Everything was tidy and well-maintained. They also have a nice common area with a decent view, perfect for playing card games, reading a book, or just relaxing with a significant other. It’s worth noting they do not allow food in the rooms—you’re required to eat in the common area. They enforce a "quiet time" starting at 9 PM, so it might not be the best choice if you're planning to go out for drinks. The soda restaurant next door is fantastic, with great reviews and delicious food. About 0.5 kilometers down the street is the Tree House Restaurant, which is a bit pricey but has an amazing vibe and is perfect for a romantic dinner. The only downside for this B&B was the laundry service. At $14 for a small to medium-sized load, it's nearly double what it should cost ($7-$10). The clothes were also returned

Definitely recommend to Friends and Family. Worth the price we pay, my friends and I have a wonderful stay at Mindy’s place after spending time in a hot spring and waterfalls . 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom is private for us to use an spacious living room and dining area, And we can share a kitchen and laundry with the host Mindy and Frank . Thank you for making our trip unforgettable.

We had a great stay at Lulu's place. She and her family are very friendly and helpful, they gave us some great recommendations about the town and the area. The place is nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower has warm water, and there is air conditioning. It is also nice that you are allowed to park your car on the terrain behind a fence. La Fortuna is a very popular destination in Costa Rica, and there is a lot to do in the area. However, this also gives the town a very touristy feeling. Because of this, I enjoyed staying at Lulu's place even more. It was nice to chat with her and her family, and because it is just one block out of the center, it is a bit calmer and gives you more of a local experience. The restaurant they are running in front of the airbnb is also very good and reasonably priced, the included typical breakfast was very tasty too. All in all, we really enjoyed staying at Lulu's and would definitely recommend her :)

Mindy und Frank waren wundervolle Gastgeber! Sie waren zu jeder Zeit so freundlich, höflich und zuvorkommend, so dass wir uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Sie tun alles dafür, dass man sich bei ihnen wohl fühlen kann. So backt z.B. Frank meist täglich ein wunderbares leckeres Rosinenbrot! Als Gastgeber teilten sie ihre Küche mit uns, achteten aber auch jederzeit auf die jeweilige Privatsphäre des anderen. Das Haus liegt zudem an einer wunderschönen Stelle, bei der man auf beiden Seiten einen Blick auf den See hat. Nicht weit entfernt befindet sich ein sehr gutes Restaurant und Nuevo Arenal ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Vielen Dank, liebe Mindy und lieber Frank! Wir haben die Gemeinschaft mit euch und eurem kleinen Baby sehr genossen! Wir werden bestimmt wieder bei euch reinschauen!

Cheerful little Airbnb. I opted for the smaller room which is what you see is what you get. Affordable unit in an otherwise very expensive little town. I would recommend for any budget traveler coming through for a day or two.

Es un excelente lugar para quedarse en Monteverde! Tiene muy buen precio para todas las comodidades que ofrece.

Pasamos con la familia en Guapote Logde, todas las habitaciones son hermosas y es delicioso dormir con los sonidos del bosque arrullándote, totalmente recomendados. Delicioso desayuno típico y atención inigualable. Por cierto, prueben los camarones al ajillo, están espectaculares.
