Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lake Almanor Country Club

My wife and I stayed in Susanville for two nights and chose to be in the center of the town close to Main Street. This place was perfect. It is on a small hill and has a dedicated parking space. Basic groceries and wine are within easy walking distance. The place itself is very nice, with lots of artistic touches, a good bed, and a strong hot shower. It was cold and rainy for some of our stay, but the place has a great deck and BBQ for better weather. Cortney got back quickly to my messages with local ideas. We enjoyed the River walk nearby.

Loved this rental. It was perfect for our whole family including our dog. It was a safe neighboorhood and not completely isolated which we liked. The hot tub was perfect to soak in after playing in the snow. We have school aged children so we were able to let them play outside with our supervision and build snowman and have snowball fights. The golf course was a short distance so we were able to take several of the sleds Carolyn had for us and found a nice hill the kids were able to sled down for several hours. Overall great place and will visit again.

Everything was fantastic! Had a small glitch and a gentleman came out at 9 at night in the cold and snow and he was so nice. Got the job done quickly. Comfortable bed, warm shower, clean and a lot of places to sleep. Wish there were board games or puzzles there for the raining and snow times. Will definitely be back!!

This was our 3rd stay at Denise’s home, and it’s just as amazing as our previous stays. I am thankful that we have found our home away from home in the beautiful Chester/Lake Almanor area. Her home meets my 3 “C” requirements for a good rental—-Clean, Cozy and Comfy😍I don’t even bother looking at other homes when I’m planning our vacations in Lake Almanor. What a wonderful and restful stay at Eva and Greg’s Almanor House! A friend and I wanted a girls' getaway to escape the 100+ degrees heat in the Butte County valley floor. We wanted to be close to Lake Almanor but away from the Labor Day crowds. This place was perfect in that we were minutes from a wonderful Pizza place, and other restaurants in Westwood and only 12 minutes from Lake Almanor for boating, hiking, picnicking, and lake-view restaurants. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated cottage with super plush couch, comfy beds, and fully stocked kitchen and two bathrooms. We ate our meals both in a breakfast nook and outside by the fire pit and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of exploring. The neighborhood was very quiet and we can see the stars at night. Eva and Greg were very responsive with our every question before the stay and were available by email/text. Everything from toiletries, towels, fresh linens, very nice cooking instruments were provided in this cottage. Eva and Greg thought of everything to make our stay incredibly comfortable. We definitely will return again!

It’s a very cozy home. You can hear the stream running through the backyard moving for a walk and I ran into some neighbors who were friendly and one was taking a horse ride through the mountains. The kitchen is fantastic. The house is super warm. The fireplace is amazing. It’s super quiet she was very communicative in check in process and in the process when we were leaving, she made sure we were having a good time would completely recommend it.

This was a great place to stay. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very spacious and the location was really nice right on the golf course. Also, the lake is across the street which makes for a great view when going on walks. There is a day use area just down the road, as well as a playground. The house is full stocked with anything we needed, including the essentials for a trip with our kids/baby. We’d love to return and would definitely recommend.

What a nice, cozy, well outfitted cabin. We visited at the start of winter and grateful for the heater and wood stove to keep the cabin warm. The cabin is super cute with great tile work and cute touches all around. Fast Starlink WIFI and modern smart TV made it easy to stay connected.

Christine's place is at such a beautiful and peaceful location with green pastures and mountains all around you. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we ever had. Night-sky watching at the hot-spring was so good and we highly recommend it! Christine, Christian and Mary Ann were so nice and welcoming, thank you for hosting us!
