Vacation rentals in Laguna Mountains

This beach house is well set up for a beach vacation. It is close to the beach and walkable to many restaurants and coffee shops. Please be aware (we were not) that every Wednesday in Ocean Beach there is a market and a huge party on the streets with abundant drinking and pot smoking. That was not our scene and surprising to get stuck in the middle of it. Joshua has well supplied the home with every you need for a beach trip - wagon, chairs, surfboards, boogies boards and more. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of all these items. Also, note that there are no locks on any of the interior doors - neither bedroom or bathroom so privacy is a bit limited in the home. That being said, it fit our family well.

I loved this cottage, it’s location, and our experience. The exterior: private, behind a wooden fence steps away from the sidewalk, with the cutest succulent garden with some tasteful décor. The interior: meticulously curated vintage and retro-style pieces, always something to look at, I appreciate that it wasn’t an IKEA bulk order but a lot of love and care and personality. And it’s SO clean and doesn’t feel cluttered at all! I loved the round yellow bathroom tile, the kitchen sink, the leather chair and ottoman in the living room. So many gems all around. Katrina was a gem herself!!! My toddler got sick (yuck) in bed the first night, and K came to our rescue the next morning with new linens, completely kindhearted and understanding. Related- the free laundry was a godsend to have with a kid, and to simply not have to pack a ton! And the beach gear, stocked supplies in the cabinets, they thought of everything! ❤️

Jane and Ian’s place was awesome! Great space with well equipped kitchen and brand new appliances and cookware. The view from the 2nd floor porch-balcony was amazing since we could sit out with glass of wine and watch the sunsets. The king bed was very comfortable. The location was a short walking distance to La Jolla Cove and local amenities like restaurants and stores. Both hosts, plus their site manager, were super communicative and responsive. We will definitely book with this Host Team again!

Amazing location! The apartment has floor to ceiling windows and the view of the ocean is spectacular. The beds and couches were comfortable. You can hear the waves crashing because you are so close to the beach. We enjoyed going to sleep to the sound of the waves and going for walks along the water in the mornings. The location was just 15-20 away from every sight we wanted to visit in the San Diego area. We appreciated that there were beach towels, beach chairs and a football to borrow. The laundry machines are down the hall, not in the apartment, if that matters to you. We had no trouble using them.

Great spot if you have a car to traffic to/from the beaches. Was comfortable for me, my husband, baby, and our au pair, and probably would be a good fit for two couples or a family of 4 (one room was bunks). Amenities were ample, beds were large and comfy, clean. Some good food spots within walking distances, namely The Fish Shop and Kono’s sister restaurant (yummy burritos). Vons, Trader Joe’s, CVS all within walking distance for those looking to cook from home. Thanks for hosting us!

Cute beach cottage with a fantastic location! Just a couple blocks from the beach, but very quiet and no noise issues. We arrived on a Tuesday, and there happens to be a really nice farmers’ market that was just a half block from the house. Excellent communication from the host at every step of the way!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place had stunning views and was perfectly private, making it a peaceful retreat. The location was ideal—close to everything but still felt tucked away. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and the kitchen and bathrooms were modern, clean, and well-equipped. The surrounding area was beautiful and added to the relaxing vibe. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time here! It’s located in a walkable area with lots of shops and places to eat, tho parking can be scarce. The beaches were beautiful and were only a short walk from the rental. Janet and Scott were very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed.
