Monthly Rentals in Lagoa Empadadas

I stayed at this apartment for about two months. Susana was very helpful! The place is a perfect size, very clean, and as a solo female I felt very safe in the small town. Lagoa is centrally located to be able to access Ponta Delgada, Villa Franca and Ribiera Grande with about a 20 minute drive. I rented a scooter for my two month stay and had no problem getting to the main parts of the island that I needed to. However Lagoa itself is pretty small and doesn’t have any significant night life (which is honestly nice for a long term stay). Most nights were spent watching the sunset and having a glass of wine from the apartment windows. Some dogs barking and motorcycle riding sounds at night which are easily blocked out if you close the windows and turn the fan on. Susana helped with anything that I needed: provided extra bed linens, extra kitchen supplies and fixed the sink promptly when there was a leak. Would certainly stay again :)

I highly recommend staying in Sete Cidades during your stay or part of your stay in the Azores. It is close to many hiking trails, in a spectacular setting. Also close to Ferraira where you can bathe in thermal water in the sea. If you stay here, don't hesitate to buy bread at Padaría Tavares (a few minutes walk away and for only 40 cents). A local experience in a very peaceful environment. We liked the house and it met our expectations. It is functional and parking is available. Antonio was a fabulous host. When we checked in, he had already stocked the kitchen with local specialties - which were delicious. His family’s home is expansive and beautiful. The garden is particularly exquisite. The location is a little outside Capelas which was a good jump off point for the East side of the island and getting into Ponta Delgada. We recommend Antonio’s for your visit to the Azores

Great apartment in an excellent location. Close to beach, supermarket, bar, cafe and on the bus line. Very quiet area. Our hosts were very gracious and friendly. Their hospitality and generosity exceeded our expectations to ensure that we were comfortable and that our stay on the island was enjoyable. Would most definitely recommend this apartment
