Excellent stay! Beautiful charming quaint property. Well maintained. Convenient to a great restaurant next door and right in town. Would recommend to others. Hikes in the surrounding areas are excellent.

I highly recommend staying in Sete Cidades during your stay or part of your stay in the Azores. It is close to many hiking trails, in a spectacular setting. Also close to Ferraira where you can bathe in thermal water in the sea. If you stay here, don't hesitate to buy bread at Padaría Tavares (a few minutes walk away and for only 40 cents). A local experience in a very peaceful environment. We liked the house and it met our expectations. It is functional and parking is available. The location of the place can’t be beat. It’s so peaceful and beautiful, the perfect place if you love nature. The windows in the house maximize the enjoyment of the area. The little town is just down the road, simple restaurants, but there is more available if you drive 20-40 mins. Joao was very responsive and helpful and even left a nice bottle of local wine. Go to the padaria in town for bread! They only sell bread, but it is incredible.

Our stay in Sete Cidades was truly unforgettable, not only because of the breathtaking beauty of the area, but because of our incredible host. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The house was filled with thoughtful touches—fresh flowers, a generous spread of lovely groceries, and everything we could possibly need to feel at home. It was warm, welcoming, and clearly prepared with heart. Our host went above and beyond throughout our stay, bringing fresh bread, checking in to make sure we were comfortable, and offering great local tips. And when we realized—after checking out—that we had left our passports behind, he didn’t hesitate for a second. He located them and made sure they were returned to us quickly and safely. His kindness and integrity meant the world to us. This home and host made our first days on São Miguel extra special. We will always stay here whenever we visit this part of the island.
