Cottage vacation rentals in Lac de Vassivière

A true haven of peace! In the middle of nature and sheep! Cheerful! The amenities were perfect!

We loved our stay, the cottage is very comfortable. The terrace and garden are really great for breakfast with the view of the valley which is beautiful. The sunset in the sun loungers… A beach by the river is a 15-minute walk away. Our dogs also enjoyed nearby walks. In short, the ideal stay.

Travel with friends with our kids. The place was spotless, very relaxing, and refreshing. The + 2 pools and hot tub (small downside for the screen that made its own). Attention provide salt, pepper, soap etc because contrary to what is indicated it is not available... Very responsive hosts before and during the stay. We just wish the guidelines were that the guidelines weren't as much guidance. We understand that there are rules to follow but we had the impression on several occasions of being treated like children and it's a bit of a shame because we are also there to enjoy the stay while knowing how to respect the place. I highly recommend this listing!

We had a great time in this beautiful cottage. Exceptional views, idyllic setting for our weekend. everything is provided in the cottage with quality amenities. Edwige is very welcoming and very kind. This is our second stay and we can only recommend it. We'll be happy to go back.

Great stay. Isabelle and her husband are very welcoming and friendly. They gave us places to visit the region and its surroundings. The accommodation is well placed in a small quiet and relaxing village. Thank you for the small touches on our arrival. See you soon perhaps for mushroom picking.

Quiet house in a bucolic environment. The accommodation is spacious, clean, pleasant, true to the description. The exteriors are superb, very large expanses of grass, very pleasant outdoor terrace, with dining table and garden furniture, superb spa, swimming pool present but not used (April). The hot tub was a real plus to enjoy the outdoors in mid-season. Late check-in with a key lockbox was possible.

Beautiful home in a wooded quiet area. Beautiful enclosed garden. Our dog really enjoyed it here and so did we! Louise is very sweet to animals and friendly and hospitable to people. Upon arrival there were snacks for our dog and a surprise for us! Top location!

Quiet privacy in the countryside - home is a renovated building adjacent to Darren's house so you share the same property yet feel complete privacy with a fenced backyard. Darren was always accessible and responsive when needed. Would book again! Scott & Shaniah

We had a great time with friends. In the expert hands of Emmanuel, host of unparalleled kindness, benevolence and energy. Always present to respond to our requests, with flawless responsiveness, we were able to have access to all the amenities necessary for our comfort. Also, he was extremely present to advise us on the best spots and activities in the area, all very good suggestions / addresses. Finally, the house offered a quiet, intimate setting sheltered from view, with all the right amenities. A perfect disconnection (because yes the network is not very present) to have a relaxing vacation. And finally, between the swimming pool, table tennis and pétanque terrain at home, we didn't get bored for a single moment. Charming little house furnished and decorated with taste close to the many hiking trails around the lake of Vassiviere.

Thanks to both of you, for this little corner of paradise in Haut-Viennois. Resourcing guaranteed, great tranquility of the place. Comfortable, with what you need. Beautifully decorated. Many board games and books. Lots of toys and outdoor games that were much appreciated by our two-year-old son. Clean and spacious accommodation, enclosed garden, ideal for our two dogs who were surprised to see beautiful limousines grazing near the gate. Mickael, Olympus, Marin, Iron and Othello.

We had a short quality stay (3 nights) at Nicolas's. Easy check-in and checkout. Clean places, very well equipped, close to shops and village activities. Very good communication with Nicolas... and in addition a welcome gift was waiting for us.

Stay of only one night spent without incident with a friendly cat. The accommodation is quiet and peaceful and there are plenty of books. The instructions given are clear and accurate.

We had a pleasant stay in this house located in a small isolated hamlet (car required for any need). Calm and serenity are kings. You can feel that the house has been lived in and that it is authentic, a little in its original condition but that contributes to charm. Everything you need is on site, including children's games! Arnaud's parents next door are lovely, available and attentive. Go and recharge your batteries!

Thanks to Sam for hosting us and for his kindness. His place is quiet and great! Our family felt at home. Sam shared his passion for alpacas with us. My 10 and 7 year old children were delighted to be able to feed the alpacas every day. An extraordinary experience for our little ones. We recommend it. We had an excellent stay at Henry’s. The hosts were very hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The property has over a hectare of beautiful grounds full of fruit trees and a swimming pool that the hosts are happy for you to walk around in. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful break in a French hamlet in gorgeous natural surroundings
