Family-friendly vacation rentals in La Roque-Gageac

Peaceful oasis! We absolutely adored our stay here. It was remote but surrounded by beautiful towns and villages to explore. The place itself was perfect for what we needed and just spending time outside in nature/farms. The pool and hot tub were exceptional. It was so quiet we felt we were fully alone and could fully switch off. There was everything you needed kitchen and bbq etc. Would love to come back.

Wij hadden een zeer aangenaam verblijf bij Dominique. De omgeving is prachtig, rustig en charmant. De gîte heeft een authentieke stijl, was zeer goed onderhouden en erg goed voorzien. Ons dochtertje (1,5 jaar) was een grote fan van de geitjes en schaapjes op het domein. Supermarkten, stadjes, marktjes, wandelingen,… alles is zeer dichtbij. Absoluut een aanrader!

Nous avons été accueilli par Didier un soir. C’était chaleureux et attentionné car il nous a acheté un « kit de survi » pour le petit déjeuner et nous a recommandé les endroits d’exception à visiter…cette région est un vrai coup de cœur. Le gîte est top, on s’y sent chez nous très vite avec la pièce à vivre spacieuse et sa superbe cheminée, la literie confortable, ainsi que le jacuzzi qui a servi tous les jours. L’extérieur est incroyable, c’est au milieu de la verdure au calme, où les grillons accompagnent nos journées et nos soirées. Le gîte est équipé pour les enfants…jouets, livres, vélos, balançoires et toboggans. À deux pas du château de Bonaguil, il est facile de profiter d’un des plus beaux châteaux de la région ainsi que du restaurant en bas. Didier, un grand merci pour cette semaine, c’était parfait !

Un grand merci à Cathy pour sa réactivité avec notre demande de réservation au dernier moment. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, avec des instructions claires et toutes les informations sur les activités à faire dans la région qui est magnifique. Notre séjour a été super, le logement est très joli et fonctionnel avec tout ce dont on pourrait avoir besoin. Nous avions même ce qu'il faut pour le petit déjeuner à disposition. Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus avec une superbe vue. Une adresse à retenir !

Wer eine ruhige Oase im Grünen sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Die Aussicht ist herrlich, der Sonnenuntergang ein Traum. Das Baumhaus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, in der Küche sind die wichtigsten Utensilien vorhanden, damit man gut zu Hause kochen kann. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es unzählige kleine beschauliche Dörfer, welche zu den schönsten Orten Frankreichs zählen. In der Vorsaison sind einige Aktivitäten, wie z.B. Kanufahren, meist noch nicht offen, was uns nicht störte, da wir uns vor allem aufs Wandern und Ausruhen konzentrierten. Anne ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin - bei Fragen war sie schnell erreichbar und kam wenn nötig kurz vorbei. Gerne wieder :-)

wij verbleven een week in april met zijn drietjes. we waren de enige gasten maar hebben een heerlijk rustige week gehad. huis was prachtig, modern, robuust met alles erop en eraan.

We had a wonderful stay at april and max’s (4 adults and a 1 and 4 year old). The house is in a beautiful and peaceful setting with lots of lovely places a short drive away. April and Max were such warm and kind hosts - we had a minor incident with one of our children while on holiday and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we needed with great facilities - we felt it was better in real life than the pictures. We would definitely return if coming back to the area 😊

Le logement de Caroline est Gilles est vraiment très sympa; dormir dans un ancien hall de gare n'est pas commun et nos enfants ont adoré. Le petit plus est que ce logement est un mini musée puisque Caroline et Gilles ont chiné les brocantes et internet pour retrouver plein de vieux matériel de cheminot et cela ne les empêche pas d'accueillir une famille avec trois garçons !!! Bravo !!! L'état du logement est impeccable, tout est rangé et tout a une place. Enfin, l'emplacement est très intéressant, nous avons pendant trois jours visiter le Périgord Noir avec ses châteaux, rivières, jardin, bastides, forêts, villes ..... Nous conseillons donc pleinement ce logement !

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end chez Laure, au pigeonnier. Le cadre est propice à la déconnexion. Le célèbre village Collonges la rouge est accessible facilement à pied et de belles balades sont à faire. Le logement, atypique, était propre et fournissait tout le matériel nécessaire. Un jus de pomme bio de bienvenue nous attendait. Un grand merci à Laure pour sa communication, sa gentillesse et sa flexibilité sur notre heure de départ. Un bel endroit où décompresser !

Très belle maison au calme avec deux grandes chambres. Il manquait quelques produits de base dans la cuisine (huile, sel, sucre ...). A noter que ce logement se situe dans un environnement agricole (maraicher), possibilité de présence de tracteurs.

Idéal pour visiter les beaux sites du Périgord Noir. Mariette et Jacques sont des amours , ont le sens de l'accueil ce qui est rare de nos jours ! Tout est parfait: le cadre, la maison typique de caractère. Bien équipée, plateau d'accueil, bonne literie une cheminée magnifique très agréable le soir ! Nous recommandons 100% pour ceux qui veulent passer de bonnes vacances simples et vraies. Mention spéciale pour l'accueil de nos 2 chiens. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine car nous n'avons pas eu le temps de visiter à fond les alentours tellement riches en patrimoine. Merci encore

La maison est située au calme au milieu de la verdure et des oiseaux. Elle est bien indépendante de la maison de Christian et Christine située juste derrière. La maison est très bien équipée et confortable intérieur comme extérieur (salon de jardin, transat, boulodrome, ….). Nous avons été accueillis avec chaleur et les conseils de Christian ont été précieux. Nous avons profité de la tranquillité des lieux et effectué de nombreuses visites et promenades dans les environs. En résumé un séjour très agréable et de belles rencontres.

Des hôtes très accueillants dans un logement au top : très propre, très bien équipé et proche de nombreux points touristiques. Seul bémol : un peu bruyant avec la route mais je conseille vivement

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

Appartement calme,très bien situé avec vue exceptionnelle , conforme aux photos. Confortable, bonne literie. Seul bémol : les rideaux occultants des chambres ne sont pas efficaces , ils laissent passer le jour. Arrivée et départ flexibles et faciles.

We stayed for 10 nights as 5 adults and 3 kids all under the age of 5. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the size of space and facilities available were excellent and we felt right at home. The cellar was a big hit with the adults and we all enjoyed the pool day and night. Plenty of nice villages and towns within driving distance if you want to get out and explore which we did on several occasions. Rachel will keep you right with plenty of local tips and info she’s a great host. I’m sure we will be back, thanks again

We had such a wonderful week staying at The Walnut Gite. Caroline and Jerry were fantastic hosts giving us lots of super recommendations and always on hand to answer any questions. The location is stunning and perfect for a family get away with the dog, with plenty of nearby attractions but far enough away for peace and quiet. The gite is beautifully decorated with anything and everything you might need during the stay. Highly recommend and we’ll be back for sure.

We had an utterly fabulous week at Magalie's lovely gite. Very tranquil settings, just the sounds of the birds and peace and quiet. The grounds were beautiful tended and the gite was immaculate and very well set out and equiped. The beds were memory foam I think and very comfortable and lots of hot water. Important things i think when looking for reviews. It rained most days but the heating was on and very comfortable. ,Magalie and her husband were very helpful and lovely hosts. We will book again xx

Our stay at La Maine was wonderful. Catherine and Maxence are excellent hosts, extremely welcoming and warm, but also very respectful of privacy. The cottage is impeccably decorated and comfortable -- we cooked a couple of meals after shopping at the farmer's market, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. Cubjac is small, but inviting -- be sure to go to the bakery, to the farmer's market, and to the Tabac for aa coffee. Catherine and Maxence had great recommendations for restaurants and outings -- every one of their suggestions was 100%. Our only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! Thank you to our new friends in Cubjac -- and Lila and Iris, of course.

Très belle région accueillante Très bonne gastronomie Un bémol pour Airbnb on a signalé plusieurs fois avant notre départ que nous n'etions plus que 4 alors que nous avions réservé pour 6 et la facture n'a pas été rectifiée. Et ce sans aucune réponse ce manque de réaction nous a dèplu.

Notre séjour à Monfort a été extrèmement agréable. Quel bonheur de boire son café dans le jardin le matin face au château de Monfort. Certes le logement se trouve juste à coté de la route (donc si vous voulez du silence totale ce ne sera pas le cas) mais la vue et les environs font de ce logement un endroit tout à fait exceptionnel, ce qui en fait oublier ce petit désagrément. Morgane a été une hôte charmante et tout à fait à l'écoute. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour une pause hors du temps. Merci pour tout!

A lovely peaceful place to relax. The house is very cosy and has a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the view. The pool is nice and large, and along with and the many other leisure facilities very well looked after. Alan and Fanny were very friendly and gave us some good tips on places to visit. It's a very short walk into the village where the Forge restaurant is well worth a visit.
