Vacation rentals in La Bouza

We enjoyed our visit with our family over New Year for three nights. Luis was a very helpful host and always responded quickly to any questions. We appreciated the freshly baked cake on arrival and on the second morning some treats from the bakery. We particularly enjoyed seeing the fireworks from the exclusive resort of the opposite side of the river for New Year. We popped open a bottle of bubbles to share on the rooftop terrace with a fabulous view at midnight. Great atmosphere. Would be fun to return during the summer months to enjoy the lovely pool.

Where to begin. We chose Jesse’s place to begin our family trip to Portugal and it set the tone in all the right ways. From the recommendations to take a tour with Nuno & Grapeland to dinner cooked by the neighbors, we didn’t want to leave. Jesse & his neighbors even helped us out of a ‘rite of passage’ moment when we got our car a bit stuck on a vineyard road during the nationwide power outage. We truly hope to return one day and the memories of this trip will last us a lifetime. The photos will never do the place justice as it consistently took our breath away.

If you travel with family, you have found the right place! Impeccable, clean and beautiful! And we are demanding! Super easy communication with Antônio (although NOT necessary). I recommend it to everyone!

Very nice and cozy place. Lots of space and a very peacful retreat. A little highlight were the donkeys lurking at us while sitting in the garden. Ricardo was very friendly and helpful. Would come again!

We spent one night in this little cabin and enjoyed it very much. The way to the property was very complex and tight with the car, but it's worth it! The view is fantastic and we spent the evening in the excellent company of some furry friends. Also the hot tub was undoubtedly one of the best part in our stay. The host always responded very quickly to questions and also very nicely proactively asked if everything was right. I can highly recommend it and will be back!

Our family of 5 loved our stay in the Chalet. It is in such beautiful surroundings overlooking a waterfall & in a great location for many walks as well as nearby local restaurants. The chalet was warm & comfortable with everything we needed. Pedro’s recommendations & local knowledge was really appreciated. Would love to stay again - highly recommend!

Great hosting. The apartment is very comfortable, with all the necessary equipment. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the historic center, markets and good restaurants (highlight the Bella Ciao pizzeria). Easy to park in front of the apartment or very close by, on the main street. The reception was excellent, the Cati was very welcoming and friendly, showed us the whole place and gave us tips about the city, as well as having left bread, butter, milk, juice and various other products available for our stay. Thank you!!! It will certainly be our choice if we return to Ciudad Rodrigo.

Luisa is a great host: very kind and friendly! She has surprised us with a rich breakfast full of local veggies from the garden and traditional bread from the region. Her suggestions have also helped us to come with a road trip plan for the next day. Very picturesque scenery, great views, comfortable, thoughtful and cozy house with modern equipment and stylish furniture. Everything was clean and functioned amazingly. We were more than satisfied! If we come back to Douro Valley again, we'd definitely make a stop there again!

We liked Humberto's apartment very much and was just the right choice for us half of our Portugal vacation to relax a little. The location impresses with a breathtaking view of the Serra da Estrela and it was very quiet. Clear recommendation from us.
