We carefully selected distinctive Japanese materials, The main wall of the living room, where the TV is located, features a high-end woven-pattern wallpaper with a designer touch. Located in Japan's largest and world-renowned woolen fabric production area, the entire space exudes a warm and cozy home-like atmosphere. For this special bathroom renovation, we used herringbone-patterned woven tiles crafted with the exquisite, centuries-old Gifu Prefecture tile-making technique. These tiles create a dynamic three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play upon them. Mino ware ceramics have a history spanning nearly 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these highly intricate tiles for over a century. We also carefully upgraded the Dyson hair dryer, added a Dyson bladeless fan, a kettle from a Japanese design brand, a brand-new Daikin heating and cooling air conditioner in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is sourced from Asahi Woodworks, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality, costing three times more than products made in China. We also put a lot of thought into the bedding. We are delighted to announce that we have now added another Japanese-style tatami room to our building, where guests can experience traditional Japanese tatami culture.Previously, out of the dozen or so rooms in the entire building, only one D2 four-person room was a Japanese-style tatami room, so many guests wanted to stay in a Japanese-style tatami room.In January 2026, we completed the upgrade to a new Japanese-style room, C2. Currently, there are only two Japanese-style rooms in the entire building, so if you want to experience the authentic feel of a traditional Japanese room, this is a great option! Welcome to Kyoto. The location is very convenient, and it’s a quiet place to stay, allowing you to enjoy your trip to Kyoto with ease and relaxation. It took us two years to find this building with a good location, quiet surroundings, and an elevator, and then another year of earnest negotiations with the owner before we finally had the opportunity to purchase and operate the building.Most of the residents in the building are Japanese, so guests can experience the everyday life of Japanese people more authentically. We put a lot of effort into designing the dozens of rooms in the entire building with different themes and styles. Many of the themes in each room were handcrafted and painted by us, and it took us about a month or more on average to add each new room. Currently, we have accumulated over 3,000 five-star reviews across our three Airbnb accounts.The bedding was also carefully selected, and many of our guests mentioned in their reviews that the bed was very comfortable.We personally handle all the room cleaning.
