Apartment vacation rentals in Kvaløya

I stayed 4 nights alone in Espen’snplace and it felt straight like home. So cozy & the views were phenomenal. Even spotted the northern lights outside in the lane. The only catch is that it’s far from the city centre but the buses in Tromso are super convenient & cheap so travelling wasn’t a problem. Would definitely reconsider staying here on my next trip to Tromso!

Stylish apartment with a beautiful view and very comfortable beds! The hosts were friendly and gave us great recommendations on places to visit. And we had the cutest cat visitor every day (Tikky, we miss you ❤️). There were also toys for kids which was a nice surprise. 👌

Amazing job of converting boathouse into very nice living quarters. Hosts are friendly, responsive, and provide very good info on what to do in the area. We saw northern lights over the marina during our March stay. Turn on Youtube, put on a crackling fire, and enjoy watching the boat traffic pass by. A big snowstorm came in before and during our stay and they did a great job of keeping the driveway clear. The road from Tromso was also fine for driving during our winter stay. We got a few groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed. Cabin is warm and cozy, VERY clean. Great location for exploring the area. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here and in the delightful, picturesque village of Ersfjordbotn. For any visitors hoping to use the bus, number 425 Mon to Fri goes from/to Tromsø, only a few times per day and on a Saturday it's the 425 then 42 (no service on a Sunday). The location of this apartment is stunning and we enjoyed deep snow while we were there. The apartment/kitchen is well equipped, the bed has a firm mattress and it is more spacious than photos might suggest. I would have loved a door on the bedroom or curtains on the living area/front door as even in March it gets light at 5am! There is no shop in Ersfjordbotn so you will need to bring absolutely everything you need with you. There is a fabulous café though which we highly recommend visiting for lunch or a cake.

Quiet location and well-equipped apartment. Perfect for longer stays. Beautiful scenery directly from the window. The uphill slope to the house is quite steep. There are two other rental apartments in the house, but a private entrance brings privacy. The host was friendly and made me feel welcome.

Stein and Karen were great hosts! The Airbnb was a little hard to find and reach amidst the snow and ice. But Stein personally came out to welcome and guide us. The equipment, especially the crampons, that they lent us were lifesavers for when we drove around Kvaløya to hunt for Northern Lights. The Airbnb itself was very cozy and well equipped. Very beautiful views that matched the photos. We were very lucky and was able to see the Aurora right from the patio on both nights that we stayed. Would love to stay again if we visit!

We feel so lucky to have met Jorgen—an amazing Superhost! He went above and beyond to help us: booking taxis, sharing travel tips, and even waiting late into the night for our arrival. He also kindly cleared the ice from the front door to make wheelchair access easier—just one of the many thoughtful things he did for us. The house was spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully prepared (we even found band-aids in the drawer—such a caring touch!). Wishing you and your family good health and happiness. A great apartment in a great location. The apartment is cleaned and cozy. Has everything you need. The locks can seem complicated at first glance because they run with a system, but once you figure it out. Great.

A great place to stay in Tromso! Not too close to city centre, but very peaceful and walkable in 30 minutes, or there are many buses.

Fantastic stay at Simon's. The apartment was exactly as described, very clean and good facilities and equipment. Fantastic view of the evening sun and the mountains around. A little too good a bed that can make early morning plans a little problematic😅 Highly recommended 🤩

Very beautiful apartment with all the amenities. The apartment had beautiful art, wonderful decor and beautiful art on the wall. The beds were the softest I've ever slept in. The apartment had its own peace of mind thanks to a separate entrance from the backyard. The hosts were nice and greeted us happily, but also gave us our own peace. There was a great hiking trail on the mountain in the environment.

Clean and well decorated accommodation, located on the beautiful island of Sommarøy with its crystal clear waters. Possibility of walking hikes from the house. Accommodation matches the description but kitchen and a bedroom a little small for 4 adults. However on this beautiful island it is hard to find better.

We had an incredible stay here in Tromso. The location is amazing with stunning scenery in every direction. We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful walking path along the ocean just steps from the Airbnb. Bjorn was very response, answering all of our questions and providing local recommendations. The apartment was super clean, cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

Magnus is a great host with a beautiful and newly renovated property right by the beach.

The apartment was exactly what we needed for 5 people. The location was top. Very close to the bus and within walking distance of the center of Tromso. The host's father lives nearby and is very helpful. Every day the stairs were cleared of snow. Upon arrival on Sunday, he drove with us to the nearest supermarket so we could buy the supplies for breakfast. There is a laundry and drying cabinet.

Short walk to shops and restaurants (much better and shorter than it looks on the map) but still nice and private on waterfront. Cable car/cathedral bus stop not too far away. Amazing balconies and beautiful views (was snowing most of the time we were there but could still see faint glow of Northern Lights from the hot tub)! Great kitchen - plenty of plates/utensils/glasses/etc. Lots of dining space, couches, TVs, etc. Bedrooms a little small, but typical for Europe and beds were very comfy and warm. Our 4 year old loved the deep jacuzzi bath. Washer and dryer in the bathroom - which was amazing as it meant we could pack light and do laundry every few days. Appreciated the disposable slippers! Everything easy to find, really good instructions for everything (except maybe ovens but I'm sure if we had messaged Elisabet she would have helped immediately, we didn't really need to use them so didn't bother). Everything was super clean. Really enjoyed our stay!

The place was just as described, super cozy and with a fantastic view. Arthur gave us a very warm welcome, gave us some tips for Tromsø and even brought drinks for the hot tub. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you :)

We enjoyed our stay. Big and very modern appartement, by the way a cool jacuzzi on the veranda. We had a very recovery vacation here in Tromsø. The host answered quickly all our questions. Thank you, greetings from Bavaria, Germany.

In the selective section, I selected the "Place looks like in the photos" option, but it's not true, the place is better than the photos! It may be the most beautiful place we've been to so far!! Wonderful views from the living room window, both bedrooms, patio, garden and jacuzzy 🥹😍 We saw the light every night of our 3 pumpkin stay from the beach, which is next to the house. And when the sky was on the other side of the sky (not visible from our beach), it was enough to go to another beach for shortcuts, to the other end of the island (maybe 100 meters) A charming barbecue gazebo that is available to guests complete the image of this place as a small paradise on a land perfect for a getaway. The owners are super nice and very helpful! We can't get into this place and its hosts! 🤗 WE RECOMMEND WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!
