Nomad was very centrally located in Echoland close to bars and restaurants and was very alive neighbourhood. Ski bus transport was also easy from the this area The staff of Nomad were friendly and helpful (and I taught me a few Japanese phrases). The place was clean and I was happy with my room

Limited to your group, Japanese traditional house

Yosuke-san was an incredible host, and I had a wonderful stay at his kominka. I truly felt like a friend more than an Airbnb guest. He cooked us dinners and breakfast, provided me great tips for where to visit in the area, and kindly conversed with me in Japanese even though my Japanese is not that good! The house is cozy and beautiful. Thank you Yosuke-san for your kindness!

Eco B&B in harmony with nature. A double room with a comfortable interior and an environmentally friendly stay in the forest

It really was one of the highlights of our holiday to stay at Il Bosco! The perfect place to unwind and relax from the busyness of the towns and cities. We stayed for 5 days in late May (off season) but it was perfect for us. Lots of nice walks and time to chill. We signed up to the dinner most nights that Koki cooked and that was delicious. The continental breakfasts were also great with homemade breads and a great assortment. Being able to use the large bath was also something we looked forward to every evening! I really wish we could be back there now tucked into the woods of Kamishiro. There were two mountain bikes you could use freely but we also hired a car close by for two days to explore the surrounding area a little more. Koki was also there to pick us up upon arrival at Kamishiro and also offered to drop us back at the end of our stay. Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness!

Ruisseau, a private inn in a traditional house in Shinshu Kogawa-mura, limited to one group per day

I used it for 1 night with 2 meals. They were very kind and polite, and we had a very luxurious time.✨ The furniture was stylish and I felt the attention to detail, and I was very satisfied with the bath, which was a unit bath but had oxygen bubbles. Personally, I was very grateful that they listened to my selfishness when I asked if I could take a bath in the morning as well as at night! I would like to visit this recommended inn again!

Experience life in an old house at Kominka Amamane/Goemon bath/Japanese countryside/Breakfast included/Limited to one group per day

Easily my favourite place to stay in Japan. My second time staying here, different season this time late Spring (previously stayed in Winter). The mountain home is hosted by two of the kindest people and the coolest dog Japan has to offer. I enjoyed a variety of delicious food each day, a cozy home to reset in and escape the busy city life, explored the beauty of a mountain village with kind residents and a very an accessible natural environment. We engaged in conversations during meals and throughout the day, which always makes the time at Kominka Amane memorable. I had a peek at the rice planting season in Nagano, and exploring mountain rice paddies; which was always a dream of mine growing up watching martial arts movies. My favourite day was a rainy one, where the nature becomes so vivid and perfect for photography. Standing at the edge of the rice paddy during the rain, looking out beyond the mountains and mist, in pure silence for hours was simply epic. See you next year!

Chillps, Chilps, Hakuba, Lodge, single room

JunyanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
It's a nice and cozy place, just right across the free shuttle bus stop to the ski resort. If you want to walk, it's also a 20-minute walk. The place is very clean and well maintained. You can get a discount ski lift pass for Hakuba Goyru and Hakuba 47 from the host, but you need to pay in cash. There is also a discount for ski gear rental. I would definitely recommend this place!

cozy little place in a peaceful and quiet town with the cutest dog and the friendliest host! i mainly stayed there for the art festival in neighbor city (omachi) so i didn't get to explore the nearby area too much, but the 30 min walk from the station to the guesthouse was full of nature (and lots of stars at night!)~ the guesthouse was exactly like the photos and descriptions, and Ren the host was very attentive + Sora the doggo was extra cute! if you guys have the time, please visit their restaurant too~
