Monthly Rentals in Kilchrenan

We stayed at Jonathan’s cottage for a week. As described, the cottage is really cozy - we especially loved the conservatory and its fire place. The Airbnb is very well equipped, e.g. enough utensils in the kitchen, firewood, towels, … . Also, communication with Jonathan was super easy, as he was always quick to reply and gave us lots of useful tips for the surrounding area. I’m not sure if I would recommend the Airbnb if you are planning on doing lots of day trips, since it takes about 20-25 mins to get to the main road. We weren’t able to do some of the planned things (e.g. going to Loch Ness or a day trip to Edingburgh) just because of the long drive. Instead, we stayed closer to the Airbnb (we went to Oban, the Inveraray Castle, Kilchurn Castle, walked down to Loch Awe, ate at Kilchrennan Inn (twice😋) …). If you need some peace and quiet, this place is definitely right for you! 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at The Rest, lovely welcome basket and cosy house when we arrived. It had everything we needed and more. Especially loved the homemade bread. Perfect place to stay to go and climb a few local Munros. Would highly recommend!

We loved staying at Ruth’s place- it was perfect for us, big kitchen to cook in which we appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and linens good quality. It is very quiet and peaceful- we slept well! We also enjoyed the sun set at the lock and sitting on the swing with a glass of wine - we did have trouble finding it- the gps brings you to an old farm- we called Ruth and we were then able to find it easily- her place is beautiful and peaceful- we would go back!

We drove up to the cabin in the evening and were met with magical fairy lights all around the cabin. With lots of little thoughtful touches as well as everything you need for a comfortable stay. Richard and Hazel were very responsive and the view from the cabin beautiful. We enjoyed watching the many birds at the feeders, including the regular great spotted woodpeckers. It was a great location with plenty of good walks nearby, including Ben Cruchacan. I hope to stay again some time and would recommend.
