"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

DanielleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
my husband and I had a wonderful stay at Yuki's Airbnb. she was a very thoughtful host and made sure our kumano kodo pilgrimage went smoothly. she even offered to pick us up at the world heritage center and drop us off an watase onsen, then drive us to the nearest grocery and back to her house. she also offered to drop us off at the bus stop the next day so that was very convenient! her Airbnb was a convenient place for a 1 night stay. and of course, the freshly baked bread was a nice touch! I just wish she had a sofa or living room- somewhere to lounge around or chill out.

traditional wood structure since 1874 Joint House

LilliannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Joint House was an intercept peaceful and removing location to stay at! there were so many accomodations to the property and any time I had a question the hosts were responsive and eager to help out. My only complaint isn't as much about the property but rather the distance from major cities. while this was part of it's charm, it did loose many conveniences and it's harder to adjust if you don't have a car. Even so, I would 200% stay there again!!

Mikiura Guesthouse

YadvinderRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such a beautiful and serene place. An exquisitely designed Japanese home a real sense of peace and authenticity. Takeshi the host was super helpful and responsive. We were hiking the Mano Kudo Trail and he picks up our luggage from our starting point and also then collected us from the endpoint. There are no eating options nearby so Takeshi took us to the supermarket in Owase and we stocked up for our day. The midget surroundings are beautiful with wonderful hikes through forest and abandoned villages. The village is also super friendly. A real highlight was the jazz room upstairs where we whiled a rainy day listening to his exquisite vinyl collection. This guesthouse is amongst the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had.
