Former Dutch customs house - Kerkrade

Live in the historic customs house on the border between Germany and the Netherlands, which is marked by the preserved border stone in front of the house. The former customs room is now your living room and the pass-through creates the connection from the hallway to the kitchen. During the core renovation in 2006, as many elements as possible that tell the story of the customs house were preserved. The wooden floor provides a pleasant ambience.

The red house is located in the idyllic Veytal between Mechernich and Satzvey, directly on the eponymous Veybach. This allows you to enjoy the special location in the middle of the nature of the old forest worker's house, while being only 900 m from the town of Mechernich. The house is located directly on a bike path and thus offers a good starting point for bike tours in the region.
