Stunning Studio | Modern Style | Quiet Getaway

We were incredibly grateful to Caleb and his Grandma (who lives at the property and made us feel super welcome). We spent Christmas here as a family and had a lot of extra questions and requests. They accommodated us and made us feel super at home. It is an older facility so it has some quirks and there was some confusion at the beginning on how everything worked but once we figured that out we felt very at home. Be aware that others live on the property so sadly at night there was some extra noise that wasn't always restful or peaceful but other than that we fully enjoyed our time and the space.

Mid-Century Modern Farmhouse Sanctuary

KristenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Deja and Michael were excellent hosts. The property was well appointed, spacious and very clean. Instructions were clear and they were very responsive to questions and feedback. In particular, I was extremely pleased with their willingness to move our dates for a nominal fee when our event was rescheduled due to weather. Given the cancellation policy they certainly didn’t have to accommodate us but were empathetic to our situation and willing to help. It is important to note that guests should not expect this - as a AirBNB host myself I would not want my guests to expect this simply because I have done it for others. Cancellation policies are put in place for a reason and guests assume some risk when booking. The fact that our stay was off season likely attributed to their willingness to flex. One thing is for sure, based on the quality of home, location and caliber of hosts, this will be our go to property if we are ever in the area again!

River's Edge Cabin-Riverfront Acres/DISH/WiFi

We had a very comfortable stay. Convenient parking close to the cabin . Located on the river a short driving distance from Keosauqua, Lake Sugema and Lacey Keosauqua park. While we went out for our meals the cabin had plenty of amenities for preparing meals and an outdoor fire ring. We like visiting the area and enjoyed our stay.

Country Farm House in Southeast Iowa

AngelaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We are so glad we chose to rent the Bentler Farm House- what a beautiful place in the heart of the Iowa countryside! The house was very comfortable and spacious enough for all 10 of us plus our dogs. Very clean and well kept home. The house is conveniently located on a paved road (nice for keeping the gravel dust down) right off of HWY 218 so it was easy to get to anywhere we needed to go. The privacy and outdoor space was great- our dogs loved to be able to run free outdoors and they really get into their roles of being a farm dog for the weekend! We will definitely consider renting this home again when we visit.

Cabin in the heart of scenic Van Buren County

Tricia ChadRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I would live here! So peaceful & quiet! Being on the back deck is wonderful! Close to the golf course and town. I took a ton of wildlife & nature pictures. My husband fished a lot as well. It is small (but perfect for the two of us), buggy at times, the tv has 6 channels & there's no wifi, but none of this bothered us one bit since we were outside most of the time anyway. We can't wait to return! Thanks for everything!

Off grid treehouse in an ecovillage

DesireeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at the treehouse. Know what you’re getting into! There is no electricity and there is no running water. We were prepared for this and had no issues at all. We originally booked for a week in March and the weather took a turn, and Arune was great reaching out asking if we would rather come in April. The community is wonderful and inviting. You can engage as little or as much as you would like with those living in the EcoVillage. We really enjoyed the morning coffee and the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about this way of living. Our daughter had an amazing time living a free range childhood for a few days. We had the opportunity to milk and cuddle goats, spend some time at the pond and utilize the outdoor shower. I could see how this might not be for everyone, but it was definitely a great experience for us!!
