Heaven on earth comes with a hot tub! Wow this place is breathtaking! High end touches with a real lodge feel. I have never experienced such a perfect spot from the privacy, beautiful grounds, unbelievable view, great hospitality and even complimentary breakfast. 10/10 couldn’t possibly reccomend anything as much as this sweet spot! Worth every penny and then some!

A great place! Originally scheduled for me and friend’s reunion. She couldn’t make it due to illness, ended up solo but had a peaceful and happy staycation at the cottage! Will bring my parents to visit in near future! All instructions are clear and easy to follow, the recommended local restaurants are all authentic!

Very nice, super clean. Very responsive host. Hot tub was nice, some people complained that there wasn’t a door closer, really people you can take 27 steps, how lazy are we getting. Great set up.

The cottage was a perfect spot for my husband and I to stay for a few days, close to everything. It was a great little place for two. Very clean, bright, and well stocked. We didn’t realize that the hot tub had basically zero privacy from the neighbor, and we didn’t know that someone would be coming by unannounced every morning to service the hot tub. Other than those two issues that made us a bit uncomfortable, we absolutely loved the home.

Great place to stay at for cheap and temporarily. Easy on the pockets, easy access to alot of essentials, and has the essentials you'll need in the house. Parking area is hidden and easily passed, especially at night. Definitely tricky to park during busy traffic. However the host was great and explained everything clearly along with how you should approach the issues. Loved how the host was very in-depth about things such as parking, how to work appliances, and the things in the house. Shows that although the place is small and ran down, the host still cares about your experience and your well being. Would rent again if needed a place to stay momentarily on the cheap.

The place was absolutely wonderful and everything I needed it to be. It caught me off guard that the lock on the door would auto lock after a while too so it made it that much safer in case I forgot to. I also love that for longer stays, you can use the laundry on site. I was worried that I was going to have to go elsewhere. Overall, I had a great time and Ross even listed a bunch of places and restaurants to go check out! He was extremely responsive and I like that in an AirBnb owner. Thanks so much for letting me stay!

Amazing cottage right in the heart of Alaska. Such a beautiful property with all the amenities you could need. Will definitely stay at this accommodation again, hopefully in the near future.

We had such a good time in the cabin. The fishing poles and supplies were amazing, and the packing shed with the vacuum sealer! Cabin was comfy and cozy and in a quiet spot.

Beautiful stay, was very responsive and made it easy to check-in. the views from the cabin were amazing and peaceful.

Wally and Carols Penny Pond stay was an amazing, clean & well maintained for me and friends/family. When we first arrived, Wally came and meet us, Wally was very friendly, informative and willing to go out his way to make sure guests will have a good stay at the place. I mean this in a good way, the place is better than the photos, the cottage has an amazing view to the lake and it’s very peaceful with nature enclosing on the cottage. There’s also additional cabin for extra sleeping space if you happen to have additional guests. Very warm, spacious and simple. I just want to say thank you to Wally and Carol again for letting us stay at the Penny Pond & would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Homer, Alaska.

Overall a great place to stay when you visit Homer. Secluded and hidden away from the road which was really nice to let our dogs out and roam. It is about 20 minutes from the Spit so not walkable or quick to just go out and do stuff. Leslie was a great host and very accommodating. Definitely a place we’d stay again with the dogs next time we are in Homer.

Enjoyed our stay. I would suggest having a few spices & condiments available for use. Other that that, It was a very good experience!

an absolute dream place for a few weeks in the summer. we had our family and friends come visit and there was always plenty of room. room to read, cook, eat, sleep. a moose came through the yard one afternoon and there are bunnies everywhere!

Cottage address came up close but very inaccurate (ie 2 blocks away) on my google maps. I couldn't find the written directions Sandy had sent. Our T-mobile cell service in Homer was very limited in all areas. Never had any 5g service, usually just 1-2 bars of LTE but only a hardship when trying to stream on our phones in the cottage or load directions when out. The cottage is not visible from the street and the sign is easily missed. Other than that everything was perfect. Very cozy cottage with secluded private deck creekside that was just lovely to hang out. So much to see and do in Homer and surrounding area. Loved our stay here.

The Cottage on the Bay was unbelievable! Upon arrival we commented the only thing that would make the cottage better was to face west vs east..until sunrise the next morning. WOW! Every morning was spectacular! Being 10 min away from Seward was great (the dirt road was not in the best shape but we're from MI so we are used to roads w/ potholes). We cooked most breakfasts/dinners (the kitchen was great for meal prep) it was nice to have lunch in town. The Safeway in Seward was stocked well and we found everything needed even gluten free items. The cottage was a perfect home base for a jam-packed week of activities starting w/ a 6 hour cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park (we saw a humpback in Sept amazing). The Two Lakes Trail in Seward was our warm up for the Exit Glacier hike. The Alaska SeaLife Center was great for our 1 rainy day! We also rafted the Resurrection River, all in Seward. Jet skiing in Whittier was crazy fun too! The cottage and Alaska did not disappoint!

Tammy’s cottage is very nice and cozy. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and it is located close to downtown Seward and Exit glacier trailhead. Tammy is extremely responsive and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend the cottage to anyone visiting Seward!

On the first day we arrived at Karyn’s, after noting the awesome view and cozy stay, a mama and baby moose appeared to take a nap right in the front yard. In the excitement of this, I accidentally locked myself out (with the moose) and called Karyn in a panic. She couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful. Additionally, I worked remotely from this stay for a month. Perfect for an Alaskan woods getaway

Peaceful, quiet and clean.

One of the most beautiful places I have seen! You need to see Alaska to believe it, and you must go to Homer and experience this beautiful little gem of a town. Fishing was unbelievable! Food was some of the very best! Go to Johnny’s Corner on the spit! AJ’s steakhouse and Mike’s Eatery has a Reuben that will crush you! Everyone is friendly! Shelly and Buck have a beautiful place and it has everything you need for a great stay! You really could not get a better view!
