Monthly Rentals in Kastellos

Ioanna’s place felt like home during our stay. We found everything we needed and the house was spacious. The pool was a very nice addition, the water temperature was always welcoming and warm enough to swim anytime. You would need a car to stay there, but it’s worth the peacefulness and the calm. We enjoyed our stay there and would love to come back again soon.

Georgios and Tanja's place is beautiful - a tranquil haven in a lovely village nestled up in the hills but only a few minutes' drive from the coast. Our experience was exceptional from the outset, with Tanja being very accommodating of our late check-in (due to the late arrival of our flight) and welcoming us warmly on arrival. She offered us suggestions for things to do and places to eat during our stay and graciously allowed us a late check-out as well - again due to the late departure of our flights. The house itself is fantastic, beautifully appointed and with a lovely view of the valley. Kournas is a very picturesque village and the food at the local tavernas is fabulous, although the kitchen in the house has everything you need to cook should you wish to. I can't recommend Georgio and Tanja's place enough for a place to stay in Crete. Hopefully we'll make it back one day!

We had a lovely 6 nights at the villa. I didn’t realise it was two separate apartments, but as we have older children it wasn’t a problem for us. The view was amazing and the villa had everything you wanted. The local town down the hill had several restaurants and a super market. You do need a car. Central location for sightseeing. Maria was very helpful with suggestions. Only downside was that you tended to hang out in the downstairs kitchen area as it lead onto the garden, but there was only the one sofa. The main lounge was in the apartment above, which we didn’t really use. The villa was clean and the garden beautiful. The children used the pool a couple of times, and I can imagine, in hotter the weather, the pool would be great. We had a lovely white kitten with a stripy grey tail come and visit us. We hope she does have a home as she was adorable.

Very friendly owners who warmly welcomed us and offered a bottle of a local alcohol. The son George is also very responsive. We happen to encounter an electrical issue, the father came in no time to fix it. The villa is wonderful (just as the pictures). Can only recommend.
