Excellent home for a family or group. Well maintained, with all key amenities, and with a spacious compound and parking.

Michael's place offered a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with nature and unwind. We arrived late with Michael regularly checking our progress and offering direction advice. As we approached the house, the housekeeper, also named Michael, met us at the gate and immediately lit a fire in the fireplace and helped us to get settled in. For the remainder of the trip, he checked in to ensure we were happy, lit a fire every evening, and led us on a walk along the river and to some of the local sites. When we weren't exploring, we found the house to have everything we needed. We look forward to going back when we get the chance.

Leah’s accommodation was a dream! The spacious, beautifully kept house had four bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a TV, and a lovely garden. The location was peaceful, private, and very safe—perfect for a relaxing stay. Leah was an excellent host, always in close touch, and her housekeeper, Mercy, was incredibly helpful. She was on-site whenever needed, and when we had trouble with Netflix, she and her son quickly sorted it out. The house was conveniently close to a supermarket and the main road, making it easy to catch an Uber into Thika town. For me and my boys, it was the perfect place to spend quality time together. I highly recommend Leah’s place and will definitely rent it again in the future!

We had a lovely 24 hours in the remoteness of Peter's place with the family. The cottage is well-equipped in a non-fussy way (which is great with kids). It has a nice space to play out the front, and we were very cosy despite the incessant rain! There was an area-wide power outage for the time we were there, but the generator meant we at least had some power for a while. And Gabriel and Naomi made us very comfortable. The final bit of the road to the cottage is very muddy and tricky to navigate in the wet (make sure you have 4WD) but Gabriel made sure were safe and got in and out ok, and Peter had made sure we were aware and came prepared. His directions to the place and communication before we arrived were also excellent. Would recommend for an easy trip away from the bustle of Nairobi!
