Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Kansai

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. We spent 10 days in the house in April 2025. The house was well equipped and everything was as described. There is a good rail connection to the center of Osaka as the station is very close but surprisingly, there is no noise from the railway. We used the house as a base to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Kobe. All these places are easily accessible by railway. Close to the house there is an excellent supermarket: LIFE. There are excellent instructions to all appliances in English and adequate heating and hot water. We didn't need the air condition but it is there. Beds are comfortable. The host was very helpful and answered all our questions. We were happy with our choice of accommodation and highly recommend it.

The house was large, clean, and free of clutter. The bath area was clean as well.

Lan’s place is approximately 20 minutes walk from Kyoto station with plenty of restaurants and kombinis along the way. The place is very clean and comes with a washer/dryer that works well. Stairs up to the second floor is quite steep so we left our roller luggages on the first floor. Overall a good experience and would recommend to those visiting Kyoto.

This listing was an absolute dream come true. It’s very spacious, cozy, well-stocked with towels, linens, etc. Our host so kindly let us check-in a bit early and was so sweet and accommodating. The bathrooms and showers were so clean and had cool features. This was a wonderful stay and we really appreciated how close this listing is to various tourist spots and shopping areas like Fushimi Inari Taisha, LoFt, Nishiki Market, etc. Many places are easily accessible by train or walking. Overall we cannot rave about this Airbnb enough and we thank the host so much for her hospitality! :)

This was my second time staying there. I was allowed to repeat. Whatever you say, The owner's personality is very nice. The communication before the stay was very polite. They are also flexible on the day. Like last time, I had a very fulfilling time with my friends and pets. If the seasons change, I'd like to use it again.

It was easy to find and had a massive car park. The house is new, very clean, spacious, and warm during winter. The backyard is huge and securely fenced, so you can let your dog run around without any concerns whatsoever. If you're planning to visit with a dog, this place is perfect. Even without a pet, the secure outdoor area is something to truly enjoy. I would highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to take advantage of the BBQ area in summer, so I’ll definitely be going back!

The sauna was especially spacious, and the cold water bath was the best refreshment. It seems that there are many summer users, but we used it in the middle of winter.I was able to enjoy the snow scenery rarely seen due to heavy snowfall.It was very cold, but I enjoyed watching the fire in the wood stove and making teppanyaki and pot in the fireplace.The supermarket is the closest and about 16 minutes by car, so it's a good idea to come to the inn after shopping.Bugigawa Onsen, about 20 minutes by car, was also very good.I used the pizza oven to bake and eat pizza and bread in the snow.Fortunately, the snow stopped, so there was a problem with grilling and eating on the spot.I didn't feel that cold because there was no wind.The child was in unusual snow.(High school student) I think summer is a great place!

The B&B was beautiful, and Yuki was still very considerate to prepare the fruit bread for us.Perfect for multiple people traveling together (this time we were 11 people).It was a wonderful time.

We stayed here with a big family of 8 (with 2 kids). Overall, the home was very nice, had all the the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The Host is very friendly and it was a pleasant stay!

Cross the road and you'll find Lake Biwa!It's the best location There are plenty of rooms and beds, so I think it's best for about 3 families There is only one bath, so if you have a large family, I think it would be a good idea to plan a nearby hot spring from the start There are quite a few amenities, seasonings, etc. If you check in advance, they will be kind and accommodating. I had a really pleasant time
