[House Story] This house was born out of my childhood dream of living in a Nordic home.It all started with my longing for a cozy cabin like the ones in stories and for the tranquility of nature. After living in Sweden and New Zealand, I returned to Japan and, together with my husband, Andy, took over a cabin that was scheduled for demolition just one month later. "'OLI' OLI no Ki" is located in a quiet villa area near the popular tourist destination of Metasekoya. Spacious LDK with over 23 tatami mats. The wooden deck overlooks the Hachioji River. Enjoy the babbling of the river and the wonderful scenery that changes with the seasons while enjoying a barbecue or tea time. There are two large bathtubs and showers where you can relax in the bath. Families and groups can all bathe together. Also within walking distance is Hachioji-sanso, Makino Shiraya Onsen. It is a hot spring facility where you can enjoy one of the best 100% natural radon hot springs in Kansai. Please feel free to use it. You can enjoy a barbecue on the outdoor wooden deck. You don't need to bring any tools. Please bring only ingredients, condiments, and drinks. * In case of strong winds, we may ask you to refrain from using the barbecue area for safety reasons. ⚠︎ Because the mountains are close and the location is rich in nature, insects may appear indoors depending on the season, even if we take countermeasures. You can enjoy cherry blossoms in Kaizu Osaki in spring, swimming in Lake Biwa in summer, fruit picking in early summer to autumn, and Makino Highlands, Ohana Resort, and Mt. Hakodate in winter, all year round.

Located in a quiet area on the mountainside surrounded by greenery, you can fully enjoy a relaxing island time while listening to the sounds of nature. It is also a convenient location as a base for sightseeing, with the E parking lot of the popular theme park "Nijigen no Mori" about a 5-minute walk away. There are also swings and balance beams. Parking is available for 4 vehicles on the premises Note We value your relaxation in a quiet environment at our facility. All fires, such as charcoal or gas BBQs, bonfires, and fireworks, are strictly prohibited. (BBQ is only allowed on the electric grill provided) Please smoke in designated areas. 　This 300-tsubo rental villa is limited to one group per day and is surrounded by nature at the foot of the Hakusan Ski Resort in the Lake West area of Shiga Prefecture. In winter, spend the day with a warm wood stove. Firewood is available free of charge, mainly sawtooth oak and beech. We will carefully explain how to use the stove at check-in. Please use it with peace of mind. 　On the south side of the villa, you can spend a quiet time with a hammock and bench in the sawtooth oak forest.
