This guest house opened in July 2021. Osu Shopping Street is within a 7-minute walk, and there is a bar on the ground floor, which is popular with local customers. The shared counter kitchen is stocked with a variety of cooking utensils and condiments, so you can enjoy cooking right away. Nearby supermarkets, convenience stores, and pharmacies are within 350 meters. The shared living room is available 24 hours a day, so you can enjoy chatting with guests you've become friends with until midnight, or work at the counter desk. There is no curfew and the shower is available 24 hours. Check-in time is from 4 pm to 11 pm, but Early check-in may be available, so please consult with us. There is a convenience store right in front, and a supermarket, Don Quijote, tavern, restaurant, and hot spring within walking distance. About 50 minutes to Osaka City!! Sea, castle, garden, hot spring, fresh fish, Japanese food, Wakayama ramen. Experience Japan that is not overly touristy in Wakayama, where fish is cheap and delicious. Drink, eat, play. There are plenty of cheap and good stores. World Heritage Koyasan, Kumano Kodo, castles, temples, and hot springs 10-minute walk to Wakayama Castle. Very convenient for walking. It is especially great during cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. About 15 minutes on foot to JR Wakayama Station, and about 40 minutes by car to Kansai International Airport. About 1 hour and 30 minutes to Koyasan. 1 hour and 30 minutes to Kumano Kodo. The bus from JR Wakayama Station East Exit to Kansai International Airport is convenient and takes about 40 minutes.

Our guest house Sumiya is in the centre of Kawayu village near Kumano Hongu Taisha shrine. River Oto in front is a unique river with its hot spring sources and you can enjoy an open air bath (small one in the summer and a big one in the winter). You can also dig your own mini bath in the summer for a little bathing under the milky way. Near to Kumano Kodo trail, Kawayu is one of the best destinations for those who want to know more about the area's history and culture and enjoy its nature.
