The kitchen is equipped with a single burner stove (gas) and simple cooking utensils, dishes, and condiments. We also provide free rental items for guests to use. Bicycles and kickboards are available for free, so please feel free to use them for a stroll during your stay. If you'd like to BBQ, please check the house rules for details. Also, please note that the facility is non-smoking, so please smoke outdoors. Please see the house rules for smoking areas. Access is 10 minutes by bus from Izukyu Shimoda Station, get off at Iritah stop and walk 3 minutes, or 5 minutes by car from Izukyu Shimoda Station. This house is a traditional 20 year old Japanese house. It is totally private as it's surrounded by trees. There is a walkway 5 minutes down to Shirahama Beach which is arguably one of the nicest beaches in Japan. We have added a large deck to the house for outdoor living. The bedrooms are very traditional Japanese. The kitchen is large and easy to use. We have a coffee machine, rice cooker, screen with HDMI chord (adapter needed for your device) and blue tooth speaker for your use.

It is not new, but has a dignified appearance. Wake up early and watch the sun rise from the sea like a jewel. Listen to the birdsong, take a deep breath and enjoy the spectacular views and hot springs. There are also beaches and activities around the property, making it a great base for fun.

It is an inn in a forest with beautiful nature. We were able to relax surrounded by a quiet environment and fresh air. The inn itself was very comfortable and clean.It was raining at night, but the terrace space has a tarp, so we could have a BBQ comfortably in the rain. The host was also very kind, and his dog Jack was friendly and cute. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the bustle of the city and spend time in nature.I'd love to visit again if I get the chance.

Wonderful place to stay in the Izu national park! Could hear the birds every morning :) the air was so fresh and the views from the house were incredible. I loved staying here. I got to see Kawazu seven waterfalls, Shimoda town, and run along the river using public transportation - was easy! Jim is very friendly and gave great recommendations! Location is great, very close to Kawazu station, and in a very quiet and peaceful location. Would love to come again with my husband next time!

Log Out Cabin is one of a kind. My partner and I love staying in beautiful remote off the beaten track places and this was exactly that. The drive off the main road makes you realize how remote the cabin actually is (but the drive is not intimidating). The cabin itself is beautifully constructed with amazing slabs of natural wood as the stairs and counters. I was shocked at the quality of the sound system and music equipment. It was just my partner and I staying at the place as we were touring around Japan but this would be an awesome place to rent with friends and have a weekend getaway! Would highly recommend Log Out Cabin!

We had a great stay, within a few minutes walk you are on the beach. We could hear the ocean from the house. Everything in the house was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped to make us feel at home. We appreciated the tea and coffee too! We can't wait to come back in summer.

We stayed for 6 nights and had wonderful time in the villa. The host was very helpful and responsive when we needed something (our fault, not theirs). the view from the balcony is incredible and we used the sauna at least once a day. We were staying with our 2 year old son and can recommend to families. We hired a car and drove to shimoda from kyoto which we enjoyed, would suggest having a car in this location, there's plenty of other great beaches etc within a short drive if you don't just want to stay around the accommodation. Only takes less than 5 mins to get into town for restaurants etc too, although we used the BBQ on the deck several times which we all enjoyed. Thanks for having us.
