Boutique hotel vacation rentals in Kamigyo Ward

The location is very close to one of the stations connecting to Kyoto station which made getting around super easy. The accommodation was nice and spacious whilst also feeling cozy. Checking in was really easy. I turned up the day after I was due to check in and they had left my key in a locker on reception which made the whole process so much easier. Host was super helpful and made sure everything was okay.

Hotel Jidai’s owners were one of the most wonderful people we have ever met. They were incredibly accommodating and hospitable; they were ready and willing to help with anything. Just meeting them was a wonderful experience on its own. The room and rest of the hotel was awesome! The rooms are exactly what you get in the pictures! The artwork is stunning, the beds are comfortable and you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I wish we could have stayed ever longer here if our plans allowed it. We’ll be sure to always stay here when we come to Kyoto!!!!! The area is very close to the Kyoto station and all the major spots are a good walking distance away. Highly recommend staying here!!

We were a family of 3. We felt right at home. Location was quiet and easy to get to multiple subway stations or bus lines. We mostly left for the day and came back at night so didn’t spend a lot of time there, but it suited our needs. My only feedback is that the beds could use a topper on them. I felt every spring in the beds (tried both), but I’m a picky sleeper :).

What a gem for East Kyoto, located near so many amazing restaurants, several beautiful canals, Gion, and extraordinary temples. The shower is strong with lots of hot water, we loved the little garden outside our window, and the beds were very comfortable. The community eating area has a great coffee machine and water dispenser. Host has great communication. We were very happy with our stay here, thank you!

We had a great stay at TOKA/Kyoto! Even the room is small it felt very comfortable and we were able to lay down two bigger suitcases. The area is great, walking distance to cafes, restaurants, the river and bus stops. We have to point out that the staff went beyond to help us redirecting a parcel we got send from our previous hotel to TOKA. They were so helpful, calling the post agency and helping us out. Thanks again! All the staff we met were super friendly :)

Nice stay at Karen’s place! About 25 minute walk to the centre. Room is smaller than the pictures but ideal for what you need it for. Nice walk by the canal outside the hotel and the host is extremely responsive! :)

I absolutely loved staying here. The whole place is super clean but also very cozy environment. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone

This is a great airbnb for a stay in Kyoto! We loved the room being a part of a hotel, making it feel safer and having the ease with storing luggage before and after check in/out. Also was great to have cleaning and fresh towels daily. Room was spacious and comfortable, and location was great. Close to trains and buses and a lovely walk into main areas of Kyoto. Lots of hidden gems around the place and couldn’t recommend it any higher.
