I would choose the place again. Even though they are showers and shared bathroom, I always had privacy. You can use the common areas without a problem. The room complies with what it offers and also that there is enough space. And the distance to Kyoto station is super short so you can easily move wherever you want.

Grandpa has everything you need, towel bath towel Toothbrush mirror tissue... It is a very calm place, surrounded by many temples, shrines⛩️. Very Japanese-style room, all in all a pleasant stay!Thank you for your hospitality😀

Nice for a short stay! Ai was accommodating and friendly. Keep in mind there is music from 7am until 12am nearly every day. Pretty hard to get around if your wanting to explore Kyoto

Everything was fine. They were clear and responsive when you needed it. The place was nice and peaceful—a good location between the two main stations.

A delightful stay in one of the 4 attached units that constitutes this rental. Even though we got assigned a different apartment than the one picture on the AirBnB site, it allowed us to meet the manager of the property (owned by a foreigner), Mr Mori. He profusely apologized for the confusion and went well beyond of his responsibilities to make our stay comfortable and very memorable. Under the cold rain he took us to a local yakitori, showed us the shops around, and brought my wife his own cooker to allow us to prepare meals inside the unit (there is no kitchen in the apartment). Communication was excellent, always extremely courteous, and friendly. Thank you so very much, Keith-san for your hospitality!

What a great stay!!! We stayed at Jun’s place for five nights while in Kyoto and LOVED it. Jun is a wonderful host and very responsive . His place is very large and comfortable with a sitting room, a kitchen, a beautiful bathroom, and loft upstairs. We were right close to Higashiyama Gingaju and the philosophers walk and easy walking to many of the other temples. Bus and taxi service is close by. The area, close to Kyoto university feels like it’s next to a park. Just wonderful.
