A 120-year-old Kyomachi house in the Nishijin district of Kyoto has been carefully renovated by an architect to become an accommodation. During the renovation, attempts were made to utilize the vertical space so that the space itself can be enjoyed. The facility is furnished with a blend of modern design and Japanese tradition, creating a charming space for guests. There are also many spaces where families with children can spend a comfortable time, and you can enjoy a comfortable stay that blends tradition and modernity. The three bedrooms have five beds (two of which are double beds). From the living room, you can enjoy a small garden that is unique to Kyoto, and in the Danjuro, you can experience the special feeling of a Kyomachi house. Opposite the house is the movie "Dancer Haaaan!!!"There is "Choja-yu" which was the stage of the movie, and it is a place where you can enjoy the tradition of Nishi-jin.

It is a 1-minute walk to the hot springs and Daikokuji Temple, which has deep ties to tea. Shino, with its unique cafes, coffee roasters, delicious Japanese confectionery stores, bakeries, and soba shops. Please use the carefully restored Kyomachiya as your base for sightseeing in northern Kyoto, where time flows slowly, with a focus on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship by Miyadai Koge and Saigo craftsmen.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts.
