Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kalamaki Beach

We had a lovely stay at Emmett’s Airbnb. We felt right at home. The place was sparkling and had everything we needed. The coffee machine was a real bonus! The sunset view from the pool was wonderful. We highly recommend.

Die kleine Villa liegt in einer schönen, hügeligen Gegend mit vielen Olivenhainen. Obwohl nur 10 Geh-Minuten vom Dorfzentrum entfernt liegt das Haus abgeschieden und sehr privat in einem gut angelegten Garten mit grossartiger Terrasse. Pool, Sonnenliegen und grossser Aussentisch mit Schattendach…alles da für tolle Sonnenstunden draussen. Das Haus ist bestens eingerichtet, sauber und großzügig geschnitten. Wir haben es sehr genossen und der Kontakt mit den Gastgebern war sympathisch, freundlich und sehr zuverlässig. Vielen Dank 😘

We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

There are some places that we have traveled to that check all the boxes but Muar Suites did much more than that! Besides being romantic, beautiful and clean we were met by one of the kindest hosts we have ever stayed with. Einat welcomed us herself with warm and generous hospitality and authentic concern for our enjoyment of her lodging and the area, she had amazing recommendations for places to eat and visit! Do not miss the wonderful breakfast served on the terrace of your own suite! We are so happy we booked the Muar Suite, beautiful views, amazing sheets and bed and the bathtub was a dream to relax in! Ein ausgefallenes Hippy-tiny-house, klein und gemütlich, mit superschönem Garten zum chillen! Alle Strände und Orte wie Matala, Agia Gallini usw. schnell erreichbar! Das Dorf mit seinen 5 Restaurants und Cafe ist quasi um die Ecke in 3 Minuten fussläufig erreichbar! Ciara, die herzliche und freundliche Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort, gibt gute Tips und ist stets erreichbar! :) Einziger Makel, die Waschmaschine war kaputt. Ein guter Ort um Ruhe zu finden! Empfehlenswert!

Liebe Kleopatra, wir durften jetzt zum dritten Mal in Kerames sein und zum zweiten Mal in deiner Unterkunft. Wir haben es wieder genossen! Kerames, die Strände der Umgebung, Nikos Taverne, Hund Roxy, die Katzen und dein wunderschönes Haus sind für uns mittlerweile wie nach Hause kommen! Le logement est beau et propre. Il est bien situé pour aller marcher au port, à la Forteresse et dans les rues touristiques de la ville! Un ascenseur facilite la montée des bagages. Ce que j’ai préféré est de prendre un petit verre sur la terrasse en admirant la vue!

Es war so schön dort! Die perfekte Kombination aus Strand, Meer und Stadt. Die Lage ist perfekt. Der Strand direkt vor der Nase, aber gleichzeitig kann man ein paar Minuten zu Fuß laufen und durch die vielen Touri Shops bummeln. Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt in der Nähe. Auch Restaurants, Cafes und Strandbars sind in der Nähe. Der Strand ist sauber und man kann schön ins Wasser gehen. Das Stadtzentrum ist nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ich habe gesehen dass es auch eine super Busanbindung gibt. Zudem war Georgios super nett. Ohne Nachfragen hat er uns so viele Tipps für die Umgebung geschickt, die echt hilfreich waren. Sonntags gab es leider wegen starkem Wind Sahara Staub der mit einer Regenschauer runterkam und die tolle Terasse war komplett braun und nicht mehr nutzbar. Wir haben Georgios angeschrieben und er war innerhalb kürzester Zeit da um die Terasse wieder sauber zu machen. Einfach ein riesiges Dankeschön für alles, es war ein toller Urlaub:)

Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! Giannis est un hôte très investi, réactif et discret. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil avec une pâtisserie (très bonne!), les oranges dans le frigo ainsi que les boissons mises à disposition. L'environnement est très agréable et la situation est idéale au calme mais proche de la promenade avec les restaurants. En cas de questions, Giannis a toujours été disponible ainsi que pour nous faire des recommandations. Le logement est tout à fait conforme à la description. Cependant, il ne faut pas être trop grand pour la partie nuit et la salle de bain mais sinon tout était très bien !

The photos do not do this beautiful place justice. The flowers and greens are so bright, and you have a view of mountains and the sea. Tina is incredibly kind and accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. She sent me home with some wonderful herbs from her garden - they smell amazing! She also treated me to some homemade Cretan cake she baked at the start of my trip. As a solo traveller, this was incredibly special and I am so grateful to her. Driving around the area is fantastic with so many beaches and hikes in the surrounding area. The space is very clean and comfortable! I hope to one day return.

We had a pleasant stay at Maria & Vaggelis' apartment. The standout feature is the large terrace with a great view, where we could watch the sunset over the sea. Communication with the hosts was clear and the apartment matched the description. It's a good option if you're looking for a quiet village stay, while still being close to several beaches.

Perfect beachfront location- so close you sleep and awake to ocean sounds. Well situated between Matala and Reythmos, plus easy by car to get to archeological sites before the crowds. Perfect weather even in November!

Pobyt v Athina's apartmánu byl velmi příjemný, všechno jsme měli na dosah. Cesta na letiště trvá něco málo přes 15 minut a zastávka je pár metrů od budovy. Vybavení bytu bylo krásné a cítili jsme se tam jako doma. Součástí vybavení byla i klimatizace, která byla skvělým společníkem, zároveň jsme rádi využívali i balkon, kde se člověk mohl nasnídat. Komunikace s hostitelkou byla vždy pohotová, získali jsme potřebné informace a k bytu jsme se dostali hned. I příjezd byl velmi flexibilní, což jsme hodně ocenili.

Tasos est un hôte extrêmement accueillant. À notre arrivée tardive, nous avons trouvé un frigo et un congélateur généreusement garni. Des fruits, des confitures, des biscottes et des boissons fraîches et chaudes nous attendaient. Et Tasos a été absolument adorable pour nous faciliter le séjour. Nous lui en sommes très reconnaissants. Son appartement est très agréable , le jacuzzi et la vue magnifique en font une perle rare. Nous recommandons vivement cette location, encore plus appréciée grâce aux nombreux détails auxquels Tasos a pensé.

The apartment is very pleasant : clean, modern, spacious and perfectly equipped. The small balcony and roof terrace are a real plus and add to the apartment's charm. Erietta and Manolis provide numerous recommendations for discovering Heraklion and its best addresses, which is particularly appreciated. Very responsive and attentive, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. An excellent experience, which I recommend without hesitation!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Vlakbij het strand. Parkeerplaats beschikbaar. Appartement heeft alles wat je maar nodig kan hebben. Behulpzame verhuurder. Alles op wandelafstand, auto is enkel nodig voor daguitstappen. Leuk speelgoed voor de kinderen. Enige minpunt is dat het naast een drukke baan ligt met nodige lawaai.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Kostis was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location was absolutely amazing and close to everything we wanted to see. The place itself was clean, comfortable and had the best view. I would definitely book it again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay
