Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kalabaka

Yiannis place is was spacious, close to the market, bakery, and several restaurants, and has fast wifi. Parking was easy to find for my rental and I felt right at home here as the neighborhood is filled with kind locals. This place is a gem! If you’re visiting Meteora. Look no further. I was worried about the church bells ringing all night but they stop around 10pm and only restart at around 7am. Seeing as to how I slept with ear plugs, I never noticed. I only found out when I woke up early to go hiking. What a lovely town. Thank you Yiannis!

We had a lovely time at Rina’s place. It was small but just what we needed and at a great price!! Dimitra gave lots of local recommendations for eating and hiking/sightseeing. We had breakfast up the hill both mornings at Koka Roka (one of her recommendations) and it was the perfect start to our day of hiking. We would definitely recommend this little home. By the way, another review mentioned not enough hot water…..we never had that problem…..Always enough for both of us - with some left over!!

We loved how much space we had at Stergios’ place! We enjoyed both walking to restaurants and cooking dinner at the house. Stergios’ check in instructions were very clear, and he messaged us after the first night to make sure everything was ok. There is AC in the house, but it is only one wall unit above the front door, so unfortunately our bedrooms were quite hot the first night and only slightly cool the second. Still, our stay overall was great and I would recommend it!

This house was super comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped and relaxing. All rooms had A/C. It was the perfect place to settle in, and the host was wonderfully responsive and friendly. Could have stayed for a week and will definitely come back if I’m in the area again. Highly recommend!!!

Very nice little house. The host is welcoming and had prepared welcome gifts for us. Everything was clean and pleasant. Close to the monasteries, but in a quiet and pleasant place.

it is a very.nice house at a quiet locaties. we saw a young woodpecker at a tree next to the terrace. The bed was good. Collorfull sleeping room.

Vaggelis’ place is spacious , is indeed in the shadows of monasteries above and the town is walkable in 5 minutes. All the rooms are spacious. There are 1.5 baths and good hot water but the shower is hand held but not walk in. Vaggelis’ brother (Costas) met us and let us in. He was super helpful all the time. The fridge was well stocked when we arrived with water, bread, cheese, ham, milk, wine. The local town of Kalabaka is surprisingly large and full of cafes, bars and restaurants. The monasteries nearby are a 10-15 minute drive and are well worth the trip. But they can be busy and we weren’t even mid season early May. So get to them early or at lunchtime when the coach parties have gone for lunch. And be ready to climb steps. Lots of them.

Our stay at Nikos place was only for a quick overnight stay however I wish we could have stayed longer. Perfectly sized for a couple with a lovely outlook to the Meteora’s from the deck. Easy walk to local taverna with delicious fare. Great value for money and Nikos was a very obliging and gracious host.

Eva and Leo are excellent hosts, quick to respond and always willing to help. The place is just like the photos, in a beautiful location with incredible views and very quiet. The apartment is small and cozy, ideal for a few days stay. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bed is very comfortable with nice pillows! This place it’s a gem on Airbnb!

We had a lovely time at Chris'! We had a lot of privacy in the cottage and the garden, the view is very beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the apartment is decorated with love and attention and very nice that you can walk into the Meteora (recommended to explore the hiking trails, very beautiful trails and very quiet). Actually, everything was great! Very nice extra, the house has good screens so you can open everything up without mosquitoes. The last part of the road there is semi-paved, but fine to do with a regular car.

Very clean room, well-maintained and offers what it says. It is in a very central location and very close to points of interest. Also, the host and her husband answered our questions promptly and were very friendly. The only negative thing is the smell of the building at the entrance, something for which she is not responsible, but it should be mentioned because it was very annoying. Of course, you don't understand it in the room, which was comfortable and left you with a very pleasant feeling.

We stayed here for one night and loved it. Easy to park outside, short walk to shopping and restaurants, and a beautiful view. We enjoyed sitting and having wine on the balcony. Highly recommend!

The appartement is in the city center, close to lots of shopping facilities, bars and restaurants, without the noise of these, which is good. There is no Private parking lot but there are a lot of free parking spaces around and so we did not struggle at all with that and actually parked less than 50m away from the appartement. The appartement was clean and spacious, the bedrooms are large enough to move around and even leave the suitscases in there, which is great. Christos provided a lot of recommandations for all kinds of activities in the area, which is helpful. I recommend this place.

The room was super clean, with ample parking 1'walk from the accommodation and perfectly located for walks in the center on foot. The owner's instructions were accurate and the check in and check out very easy. There is always hot water for bathing and the temperature in the accommodation is excellent, despite the incredible cold of Kalambaka. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay and hope to visit again! Thank you so much! ❤

Asteris was a great host and everything was as described. The apartment is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the living area is spacious, and there was even a nice bottle of red wine awaiting us! Three things stand out that make this a wonderful place. First, the location is wonderful, just a three minute walk to the main street filled with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Second, the balcony is large and wraps around the entire apartment, so everyone can have their own spot. Finally, the views! Oh, the views! The views from this balcony are unobstructed and might be the best view of Meteora from any apartment in Kalabaka! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
