Rade belongs to the joint municipality of Neu Wulmstorf in the district of Harburg. Rade has its own highway exit and access, making the highway exit easy to find even for those unfamiliar with the area. Hamburg can be reached by car in about 30 minutes, the Elbe and Hamburg-Harburg in about 15 minutes. The Lüneburg Heath is right outside the door. There is a small glider airfield in the village. It is possible to arrive by train - the best way is by car or bike.

The "Honigspeicher" is an old wooden house that has stood on this site for over 240 years. It is a place steeped in history, located in the heart of the tiny village of Hartböhn. The house was completely renovated in 2025 and features a tastefully furnished and comfortable living area for two people with a garden and two terraces. It offers plenty of peace and space. Active guests can walk, cycle and explore the beautiful Lüneburg Heath to their heart's content.

Our Heidehaus was built in 2001 in traditional timber construction with ecological materials and has a very beautiful and relaxing energy. It consists of two connected houses and is located in a very quiet residential area, right next to the beautiful Klecker Wald (Forest). The guest house was completely renovated in 2024 and has a new kitchen, a new bathroom and a sauna with an infrared/heat cabin. I live in the rear house myself with my family.
