Rock River Retreat

Bring your family to make memories enjoying a movie while sitting by the fireplace. Enjoy fishing during the day and a beautiful Rock River View. During winter you are right near the Jefferson County Snowmobile trails: and during the spring these trails are used for ATVs. There are several bike trails in town as well. Absolutely loved our weekend stay here in Lake Mills! Perfect lakefront cottage property with amazing views of Rock Lake via all the windows in the living room area, and a perfect space for all 5 of us visiting from out of town. Everything was listed accurately, check in was very easy as well as check out. Alec and Annie were very responsive to all questions and made sure we were taken care of during our stay. We enjoyed drinking coffee watching the morning sunrise out the windows, walking out on the frozen lake, and connecting with other family here in Lake Mills. Alec had also shared some very cool history of our families who had grown up on the same road, which made me smile. Very glad to see Alec and Annie continue to uphold this stunning property for others to enjoy the town of Lake Mills and a beautiful lakefront property! Thank you both again for a wonderful and comfortable weekend stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.

Our stay was fantastic! We were looking for a getaway for some serious R&R and this space did not disappoint! The accommodations were incredibly comfortable, with a huge, cozy couch, soft and comfy oversized blankets, and a giant TV—perfect for relaxing and watching movies. The views out the giant windows were stunning, letting in plenty of natural light and offering a peaceful glimpse of the surrounding landscape. This is a basement space with the owners living upstairs, but we never saw them, and our privacy was fully respected. And the cherry on top? Meeting the Icelandic horse herd—it was an unforgettable experience! I would love to visit again in the warmer months to take advantage of the walking trails and kayaking. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for comfort, relaxation, and a unique touch of nature.

Twila and Robert’s house was fantastic. Best Airbnb I have ever stayed. It had everything you could need and more. Beautiful space, we organized, comfortable. It felt like home but better. We are so happy with our stay and can’t wait to come back and stay in the summer.

Mark's cabin was one of the best air bnb's i've stayed at. Simple, great location relative to bike paths and a well prepared fire ready to light. A great place to reset and relax. Every aspect of the cabin was well thought through- from the comfort of the bed to the lighting. All dishes were beautiful ceramic. I have already recommended this place to several friends.
