Great 3 nights at the Black House. Amazing view from the comfortable sofas in the sitting room across Loch Indaal. House is lovely with plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. Great location to explore the island and the distilleries. Claire was very quick to reply with any questions we had.

MacGregor Cottage

SaraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We could not stay at the cottage for health and safety reasons, however the customer care provide by Paul was impeccable. He assisted us so well in order to relocate us to another accommodation. He was prompt, polite and very accommodating. We will definitely go back to the area and hopefully enjoy Paul’s cottage. Despite the event, I would hugely recommend Paul as he ensured our holiday was not spoilt but wonderful. Thank you.

Pier House

LucyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great place - really beautiful and peaceful setting, right on the beach and with the sounds of the waves lapping on the pier. We didn't use every room (family of 5) but still felt it was great value for money - lots of space, and really well thought through. There were little things ready (laundry pods, dishwasher tabs) that really take any stress away! She even got a new telescope for us to use after I mentioned in a message that my Dad was keen on astronomy and we'd booked as we'd seen one in the pictures! How kind!! Definitely recommended!

The Loft at Druim, Rathlin Island

CatherineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had the best time staying with Una and Stewart in the loft. The apartment was so well located for walking to and from the west lighthouse (around 40-45 mins walk), set in beautiful surrounds of sheer peace, listening to the snipe chattering in the darkness at night. The space is fantastic, warm and cosy, and was even more spacious than we realised. Stewart and Una were always really quick to respond, and were so kind to also lend us their bikes as we couldn’t fit ours in our car with all of our luggage. Stewart picked us up and dropped us off from the harbour too so we didn’t have to walk to the house with all of our things. I would thoroughly recommend booking, and look forward to returning. (I also loved having the opportunity to watch a DVD of the French classic ‘Jean de Florette’ which was in the apartment, and I hadn’t seen in years 😄)

Kilchoman Apartment

IanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Although my stay was for work, it's made more palatable with great accomodation. Comfortable, quiet, warm, clean, well equipped & a great location to tour Islay. Comfy bed & well equipped kitchen. Outside parking is great ( tho the universal law for parking wherever you want during school times never ceases to anaze me as people parked left, right & indeed centre (right in front of the step's to the apartment)) My only minor point would be the TV is rather small & antiquated, especially for the size of the living room. The TV remote was a tad temperamental. The host is superb & I wouldn't think twice about booking again. Highly recommended!

Unique Restored Gem : Picturesque Location Parking

MargaretRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Gordon’s property is ideally located in the village of Kilmartin with just a short stroll to the local Kilmartin hotel and Kilmartin museum and cafe. It’s in a lovely, peaceful location away from the main road, but also within easy reach of the main road. The property itself has been thoughtfully renovated with quality furnishings and is modern and tastefully decorated. It has all the amenities you could ask for and is spotlessly clean. We were a group of six female friends and there was ample space for relaxing, cooking, eating and sleeping and having three bathrooms was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this property.

What a fabulous place this is. A beautiful house situated on the far side of the small marina in Tayvallich. Quiet, peaceful and easily accessible to the most beautiful woodlands, with wildlife, birds, walks and stunning views. Helen and Mark were most welcoming and happy to help and advise on the surrounding areas. I could easily live here!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Self-Catering Suite set in rural Guest House

DaveRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed here to use as a base to explore Kintyre. It was on a small farm a few miles south of Tarbert and Kennacraig where the ferry to Islay and Jura leaves from. Further south was where the ferry to Gigha leaves. Our main plan was to visit Gigha. The self catering accommodation was very comfortable and stylishly decorated. Just remember you’ll be staying on a small farm so be prepared to be wakened by bird song and a little later the cockerel 😂 We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. The hosts also have part of the farmhouse as a B&B.
