Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Island Bay

a big comfy space with lots of amenities, well suited for families. parking may require some skill but Gabbie was a kind and responsive host that gave clear instructions beforehand.

The house is quite spacious and comfortable. We arrived late cuz we driving down from AKL at the same day. And Crystal prepared drink and food for us then we can fed ourselves after a long traveling. Meanwhile, crystal also prepared cable lead after we noticed we got a Tesla to charge. Anyway you will never regret to stay this awesome place.

Siammone’s property was in a great location to walk to the beach and to shops and restaurants. The road is not busy and there is plenty of parking. The house is clean, tidy and homelike with everything you need. The fire was wonderful and made it cozy when cooler. Siammone is a perfect host - very helpful in all ways including supplying anything we needed, providing flexibility and extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you ! I highly recommend this wonderful place and it suited our family with small children.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved our time here. It really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed and Kate was quick to respond to any questions. Loved all of the birdlife and the walks to cable car and botanical gardens. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Wellington.

My husband and I loved this place! Hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and that is saying a lot. We took the bus to go downtown which was easy and inexpensive. We walked in the native gardens right next to the property. We walked to the grocery. Even though we had a car we never needed it. The porch was our favorite place and we sat and watched the birds. So peaceful and seemed worlds away from the city. Highly recommend this beautiful home and grounds.

Sam’s place is brilliant for a central stay. We enjoyed a combination of eating out and cooking with grocery shops close by. Parking may be a hassle if you have a big car. But the apartment is lovely with a stunning view. Awesome stay!

We had a lovely stay at Kerry’s place. It’s clean and beautifully decorated, and was in walking distance to everywhere we had to be. Kerry is a great host; he was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay, had another duvet brought to us so we could use the foldout couch in the living room as an additional bed and allowed us to check out late as we had an afternoon flight; which we really appreciated. Thanks Kerry!

We had a fantastic stay at Gile's place in Wellington. Everything was perfectly clean and well provisioned. The location is super, walkable to all shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Gile is very responsive and a true gem of a host. Do not hesitate to book this place, it is an Airbnb 5+ stay!

The pictures do not do this place justice, the views are absolutely amazing! The place was squeaky clean and so comfortable. I stayed for 4 weeks and it had everything I needed to cook and live. The driveway and road that it is off of is very steep, so be mindful if you do not have a vehicle. But it is very doable for an active person due to the bus stop at the bottom of the hill. Awesome place, thanks so much.

A five-star location indeed! We didn't have a car but being based right on the Terrace meant we could walk to most attractions. Laurice was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in which was really helpful. Highly recommended!

Check-in was seamless with keyless entry. The place was beautiful, private, and peaceful – just what we needed. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the large wardrobes were perfect for storing our things. A short 2-minute walk to Akarau Tangi Stadium, which was ideal for our trip. Close to the airport (10 mins), CBD (10-min Uber), and walking distance to supermarkets, cafes, and local shops. The washer and dryer were super handy. Host was pleasant and easy to communicate with. Grace was amazing, she met us at the apartment and then went over everything with us. The apartment is in a great location, the main shopping street and the cable car was just across the way and down an elevator. Close to the train station, it was about a 10 minute walk and Te Papa was about 10-15 minutes walk. Really enjoyed staying there

Great location and apartment for two and a real bonus to have a lap pool and spa. Very good views of the city and some of the harbour too. I will be back for sure!

We had such a wonderful stay! The space was beautiful, peaceful, & perfect for working from home. Hosts were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming—always making sure I had everything we needed. so grateful for the hospitality and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, well-cared-for space with a lovely host with lots to do around in walking distance!

The apartment was lovely, the location had perfect views of Wellington city and harbour with the ferries coming and going. We had great weather too, so watching the sun set was spectacular. Just a short Uber drive to get into the city for restaurants etc. I would definitely recommend staying here and Craig was super helpful and pleasant to communicate with.

Totally loved the Gramercy (baker), Sprig and Fern Tavern and the Greek Food Truck. Great location for our short stay. Well equipped space for two.
