Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Island Bay

Large and spacious house with a huge kitchen. We loved our time at Liz’s place.

We really enjoyed our stay ant Maria's. The home is cosy with everything we needed for a very comfortable three night stay. On Saturday night, we decided to stay in and it was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen for dinner. There is a little traffic on the road which can be heard the the main bedroom so if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend packing earplugs just in case you need them. It's a short 5 minute drive up to Brooklyn for coffee, the cinema, and restaurants or head down to Island Bay or over to Lyall Bay to discover even more great spots.

Beautiful house in an amazing part of Wellington

We’ve stayed at a lot of wonderful places in our many travels around the world and this place is at the very top of the list! We have never stayed at any location more beautiful nor more secluded nor more welcoming. Champagne on arrival and continental breakfast and fixings in the fridge and in the cabinet. The house is incredible and the hospitality is outstanding. Would highly recommend getting a chef’s dinner as it was remarkable and delicious particularly when paired with Man of War wine. Definitely take the morning walk and take full advantage of the bathtub. We had a bath every single night as the stars appeared in the sky, and it was the most romantic and wonderful thing I think either one of us can remember. In addition to all of that wonderful playlists were available for music and such a beautifully appointed home with comfortable beds (Nothing else to say really other than we really hope to come back someday soon and experience the treasure once again!).

Excellent stay, quality linen responsive and flexible host we flew in early and she was happy with early check in, made a significant refund cause coffee machine wasn’t working such amazing service tidy house, excellent facilities and a very warm house would recommend.

Great neighbourhood and location. The house was comfortable and quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Easy access to the city. Great fire for cold nights!

We loved our stay. Things we enjoyed - - warm and sunny - attractive design - lovely peaceful garden -friendly locals - very close to dairy/take out shops and Thorndon shops - close to Botanical Gardens, Otari Wiltons & Zealandia - short trip into city centre Highly recommend!

Great place to stay and close to everything we needed it to be. easy ealks to shops, restaurants and the beach. Very comfortable bed and living area set-up was great. Very impressed.

Alexandra’s place is the perfect getaway. It’s super cosy. Communication was also fantastic and Alexandra was very accommodating. Looking forward to returning

We had a great time at Sue’s apartment. It was in a good location - note that it is in the city and there is the usual city noise during the night. The beds are very comfortable. (It would have been good to see a photo of the steepish stairs up to the two mezzanine bedrooms so we could plan a bit before arriving). The fire was wonderful and the kitchen was well appointed with quality appliances. Happy to recommend but it is important to note that there is only one bathroom. We didn’t think it would work for 6 couples. Overall we had great time and enjoyed the apartment.

Amazing B&B in a great location! Place was immaculate and we loved the sauna and steam shower. Great location. Walkable to a lot of bars, breweries, restaurants, and grocery store. Sally was extremely helpful with local recommendations. Instructions were clear, easy to follow, and thorough. Highly recommend this place!

Sally provided a place that exceeded our expectations. we had an absolutely wonderful time and can't fault her. As a Wellington resident for 14 years who booked it for his parents while they were travelling I can't recommend this enough. It's exactly what you need if you are here for a visit or a medium term stay. Thanks Sally!

Jordan on reception was amazing, easy parking. Thank you for our grocery order and putting them into fridge all ready for us! The beds were so comfortable, great view. Highly recommend

Amazing Amazing and Amazing! To wake up to this view was out of this world! Then having the awesome access to the beach. Everything you require is at the house….may be a little more expensive than some of the other Kapiti properties. But it is worth every penny! Thanks Julie and Kelly (the very helpful site Manager)

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

Alexandra and Matt are very welcoming, as their house and their garden, also Frankie the cat. For us this wonderful place was the perfect start for our new zealand round trip. We now already miss the breakfast on the terrace. It was really pleasant to be your guests. We just can recommend this place. Thanks

We are a family of 4 who had just moved to Wellington from overseas. We stayed here for 2.5 months. Place was a great set up. Lovely to live in. Close to things and was a cute little character home. Price was great considering it was a long stay and the owners were so supportive of us. Heating was fantastic. Was definitely our favourite airbnb out of the 4 we stayed in during our wellington time. Best value for money. And it had car parking on site - so important. Could fit 2 cars there!!! Would recommend. Plus they gave us a fold out bed so we could sleep our 2 kids in the second bedroom. Very grateful for this airbnb helping us out whilst we found permanent accommodation!

Nessa and Stefan were the besthosts! They made us feel welcome, comfortable as soon as we arrived. We actually took up an offer to stay in their beautiful home in Belmont as the Boulcott home was given to a couple who booked and needed to extend their stay. I highly recommend a stay with them or in their Boulcott property as they go out of their way to provide the perfect stay in immaculate and comfortable surroundings. Stefan’s coffee and home made honey and breakfast cereals were exceptional! A 10/10 stay with 10/10 hosts! Thank you for your hospitality and friendly conversations. All the best.

Very accurate description on the listing of what it was like to stay with Allie in Wadestown. I was there for a fortnight and became adjusted to the routines yet felt very undisturbed. It really suited my requirements at the time.
