The Rural House of Abuela Leonor in El Hierro

We have just spent 4 wonderful days in this fantastic house. It's such a lovely spot with a soul to it - you feel at home and really get the feeling of an old, well-kept family house. The garden is amazing, with a view of the sea—and then, of course, the beautiful almond trees blooming here in February - not to mention the orange and lemon trees. Remember to bring a warm jumper if you are visiting during the winter - it can get cold at night, but there are heating possibilities, We hope to be back someday. Best wishes, Ane & Michael

A lovely house, it felt very cozy, clean and comfortable, easy to get to, with supermarkets very close and some very good restaurants and nearby guachinches. Laura also provided us with a guide to see and where to eat very useful, she was very friendly at the time of the instructions to arrive and access the house! We left looking forward to seeing the island more since for personal reasons we were unable to complete the visit, and we are clear that we will repeat accommodation again! Thank you very much!

It was simply fantastic. Gonzalo is a very warm host. The place invites you to relax. You can also reach important hiking routes or the sea in a short time. Restaurants are also available. The house takes you back to a different time, which is meant positively. It is a lovingly furnished casa rural. The garden is beautifully laid out.

El Sitio is a little hidden gem with a super warm vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The garden is lovely and peaceful. And if you’re into cats, you’ll love the furry residents wandering around. The rooms are simple and all about the nature outside. Beds are on the smaller side, but very comfy for a good night‘s rest. All in all, a great spot if you’re after a chill getaway with good vibes, great views, and sweet hospitality.

I loved spending the week at Aroa's house. logically it's not the best location as you are not next to a beach or you don't have great views from its windows but it is such a beautiful and cozy house that the days there are very pleasant. In the house there are all kinds of services, no lack of comfort and I definitely hope to repeat soon.

We loved this beautiful apartment. Open and airy, tastefully decorated, full of aesthetic curiosities. The bed was great, the kitchen was very well equipped, with everything you might need, and even more. Even the rain shower was very original. She has touches like TV with Netflix, and even greeted us with dinner sleeves. We arrived very late due to a problem with the boat, but the apartment has a strong box for keys that allow flexible access. An apartment 10. And Jorge the owner, very friendly and understanding, who encouraged us to go ahead and visit this beautiful island of El Hierro. We will certainly return.

Casa El Vallito is such a beautiful vacation home and we enjoyed the 18 days very much. Everything is so lovingly and personally designed. The house is complete and very well equipped. Communication in advance and during our stay was very good and warm. We felt very comfortable and would definitely like to come back.

Amazing home in the heart of El Hierro Island! It is a very peaceful place with a breathtaking view. We loved our stay in El Sitio. The room has all we need. Several common places in the property are available and this makes the stay very pleasant. A yoga room with a beautiful view is also available and they offer yoga classes or other activities. It was a very relaxing stay and we were able to visit a good part of the island from this place. The host was always available and was able to give me advice on the different places to discover. Thank you very much! Would definitely stay again. I would recommend this place 100%

A beautiful house, in a beautiful estate, well located in the middle of the eastern slope of the island. We felt right at home, with all the comforts and amenities we could imagine. Enough WiFi to stay in touch, not to download. Nestora and her husband were waiting for us in Valverde to accompany us to the casita. They gave us dinner and breakfast ( cheese and bad wine included!). Thank you very much. Highly recommended!!!

The perfect retreat on a beautiful island. Matias' house is lovely, with great outdoor space, and everything else you might need for a relaxing holiday. We had fantastic weather, so the pool was very welcome (we were swimming every day). The outdoor BBQ and terrace was perfect for lunchtime or evening, and the village shop stocks a range of meats, local cheeses, bread, local wines, beers and all sorts of other groceries - it's a 5 minute walk from the house, as are bars/restaurants. The garden is really interesting - full of native plant species and with lots of birdlife and lizards. We arrived at the time when the local Cory's Shearwaters were breeding on the cliffs behind the house, and their strange calls filled the air every night as the sun went down. We even saw whales from the house balcony! Matias was an excellent host - always responsive and helpful and obviously proud of his home and El Hierro. We are already missing the place! We will be back!

Old house renovated and rented by an agency, even if "Olga" is displayed;) Positive: house located in a quiet area; pleasant terraces; the orchard with excellent fruits that can be consumed...when they are ripe of course; well-equipped kitchen; large and comfortable beds; private parking, it's convenient, especially since the house is at the end of a small street. Negative: not always quick for communication, in order to enter the accommodation you must contact a person who lives nearby, she is friendly and speaks only Spanish, her contact details are given by the agency. Large hallways but small bedrooms, it's okay, we only sleep there. A few small details that are easy to arrange: the bathroom door closes badly and rubs on the floor, you would need to plan it; slats of the flooring come off at the kitchen in front of the sink, so not convenient to move around, and even with a rug that hides the problem.

Nice apartment in the middle of the town. Upon arrival, Yaneida had put fruit and local goodies and water, which made you feel welcome. She also gave useful tips. The tourist information is 20 meters away and the employee took the time to tell the special places on the island and the beautiful hiking opportunities. The last night we ate in the restaurant across the road. Very good! Had a great time here ❤️

The apartment is in a privileged location overlooking the sea and we were very comfortable even going with a 6-month-old baby. Jadet is very helpful and kind, attentive to making our stay pleasant. If we go back to La Restinga, we'll stay here again!

Everything was as described and very clean. Tanganasoga was really helpful and brought us extra stuff when needed. I recommend to rent a car for the stay, as it can get a little bit cold and cloudy up in Mocanal.

The very friendly manager waited for us until she reached the island to show us the location of the house. The house is very nice, quite large and equipped with everything you might need. The housing area is very quiet area of the house area. We are very happy with the treatment received and with the accommodation.

A window with wooden shutters is open, allowing fresh air to enter. A light, sheer curtain billows in the breeze. A small bedside lamp sits next to a woven basket, complementing the inviting interior. Views of green landscape and a wooden fence are visible outside.

It's been a great stay!! The house is beautiful! Everything we needed, we found it. We have been very comfortable and welcoming. The kids really enjoyed it. I loved collecting blackberries next to the house. 100% recommended

Tambique is a lovely little village in the middle of pine forests and hills/mountains. Everything you need is nearby, the bus service is regular, and it allows you to explore the island comprehensively. It's easy to get around the rental car on your own schedule, the roads are in good condition, and you don't need a navigator on a small island after the first day. The winter weather with the stormy winds was a surprise, but on cold days you can always go lower, close to the seafront, where the temperature might be a dozen degrees more comfortable.
